    Reda the merchant is no longer interactable within the settlement. This began after I returned to the area and he had his moment recounting the story of AC Origins for a gathered audience.

    Ever since, I've not been able to interact with him, so can't access the daily/weekly quests or shop inventory from him, and now he has a questline for me to complete which I cannot start.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hello there,

    The development team have been unable to reproduce this issue wherein players cannot interact with Reda during testing following the release of TU 1.3.0. As we have not had any reports of this issue persisting in-game for some time now, we will now be locking this thread.

    If you are having trouble interacting with Reda at the settlement, please can you create a new thread so we can investigate this issue persisting on more recent Title Updates. When creating this new thread, please include a video which shows the following:

    • That you have the latest Title Update installed on your platform. You can check this in the right-hand corner of the main menu screen.
    • That you are unable to interact with Reda.

    We can then investigate the issue further.

    Thanks! 😊

    Hey there, I'm sorry to hear this! As these dailies/weeklies are pushed to the game, please ensure you are connected to our services. Also, the Thousand Eyes have NPCs in other towns - I wonder, if you interact with one of these are you able to pick up the quests, or is the same as with Reda?

    I will get this forwarded to the developers. Could you provide a video showing that you are unable to interact with them?

    @ubi-spud Seeing Reda's actual shop contents and getting the quest he gives are unique to him.

    (Though yes, the dailies/weeklies I can get from other Thousand Eye merchants even if I can't spend the Opals I'm earning.)

    I can't easily upload a video but it would just show me walking up to Reda and the button prompt to interact with him never appearing.

    @bayofangels I am having the same problem. Can´t interact with Reda and his UI symbold doesnt appear while using crow view like before, now is like he is not even there regarding the map icons. Yesterday I was able to get the daily contract, browse his items and talk to him, but after building a couple of stores in the settlement and raising its level Reda became unreachable.

    Same here. Was ok yesterday when he first arrived at settlement, but now nothing. No icon, no speech bubble, just sits there.

    My guess would be the Live Service aspect of the game is bugged ..... Reda in Origins and Sargon in Odyssey were part of the Live Service aspect of the game ..... If it can't talk back to the server then it doesn't work

    @longjohn119 yeah I have no idea what’s going on, like everything else is fine, doesn’t seem to be no glitches, dunno if it’s possibly I’m supposed to go further in progress? Just surly if I made it to the point it’s introduced I can buy from it

    along with my other two unsolvable quests, I can also vouche for reda not working at all once they get set up. They are there along with their shop after the first little quest. I did 2 dailies and failed the weekly. can't interact with Reda at all.

    Same Here.

    • Reda is stuck telling a story to the kids in the settlement. He is not interactable anymore, so I cannot purchase things with opal.

    • Further, after completing a weekly and some daily quests, there are no new daily quests available at the respective NPCs in various towns. It just says Daily Quests: This list is empty.

    I'm properly connected to the internet and ubisoft connect is working, so @developers, please fix your game.

    @vanarlen Edit:

    Reda become interactable again, after INTERACTING WITH THE POLE NEXT TO HIM AND LISTEN TO THE WHOLE STORY HE TELLS. Kinda braindead if you ask me.

    @developers
    He should finish telling his story in the background (not starting it over and over again whenever you visit settlement) and go back to his "normal" mode automatically, even without me interacting with the pole and actively listen to his story with the kids. Like I heard the story repeat itself a lot in the background while standing at the fisher hut.

    However, despite now again being able to purchase from Opal story,
    there are sill no new Daily Quests for me.
