Hi,

love the game so far, only downsize is that I can't finish quest Viking for hire. I can not speak to Reda. Some npc's doesn't interact (sometimes) like the normally should.

I can't interact with Reza, it marks him as a quest "viking for hire" yet I can't start it or buy anything

Having exactly the same issue as you, but using an XBoxOne X.

I still can't talk to Reda, I've completed the Cent Story Arc already. No kids are around him for him to tell his story and he just sits there. I also never got the achievement for completing that story arc but I have all the rest.

Apparently the work around is to complete the Cent story arc and listen to him telling the kids the story but I completed that arc ages ago and he's not telling the story to any kids.

Can't purchase anything from reda. Only scrolls to the back button.

FOUND A FIX THAT WORKS FOR ME.

So, I do the following: Load previous save from early into having a settlement > Make a purchase > overwrite that save after purchase > Reload my main playthough save > I still have the item purchased.

I happen to have a manual save with around 17 hours of play time in it. If I load that save, I'm able to speak with Reda and make purchases. Since opals are tied to your account and not progress, you still keep all your opals, even when loading a previous save. You also keep your items purchased from Reda when loading into another save.

i can not speak to reda and is a known bug, i have completed everything else quest wise so the kids don’t spawn there for reda’s story.

reda is still not working for me after the latest update. cant complete viking for hire quest. there is still no speak icon.

@bayofangels From reading a few of the other comments you are not the only one with this problem of not being able to interact with Reda. I am also in the same boat, however it has not stopped me from doing an extra mission, and it will not stop me from dealing with todays daily missions when they update later today. All you have to do is seek out a child in larger towns in order to pick up the new missions.

I was going through my quests had already done the first quest talk to Reda when she joined my city. I was revisiting to upgrade some stuff, and the mission popped up again to talk to Reda, but it will not allow me to talk to them. I can't speak to any of Reda's associates in different cities either.

I have the same issue and everything else is compled in my game

So any word or acknowledgement ? UBISOFT, we've all paid good money and expect some hiccups and bugs, so that being said little explanation goes a long way, especially since the patch didn't fix this and other features.

I want to do the quest Vikings for Hire, the great problem with that is i cant speak with Reda. I thought maybe after some Missions (im Half done with the Story now) would fix it but i doesnt. I would also do send here a Picture but it doesnt work.

Im thinking along with the reda issue, I've also gone into some weird mode where enemies don't detect me. I may have to restart the entire game 80 hours in.

I think if that's the case, I've always been a minimalist save person, but everytime finish a few hours it will be a new manual save slot. Screw this for a joke

@dcoombsy007 yeah I'm tempted to just keep one save in the cloud and start a new game.
