@bayofangels 1.1.0 update did nothing for Reda. Unable to collect Wincestre codex page and completed Cent arc. This sucks!!

@fuzies777 Glad that worked for you because it didn't work for me. It was the first thing I tried. Along with not being able to get daily contracts, I also lost all of my opals. I had well over 150+. There's a big zero in that column now.

@darthzed13 Tell me about it. I understand that they can't just drop everything and do a fix. But with so many people complaining about the same bug, they could at least acknowledge the problem and advice that they are working on it.

@ubi-woofer Here's the problem: I'm at pwr level 229; I've established 6 alliances; and I've already completed the Viking for Hire assignment (and obviously numerous other). Everything was working fine UNTIL the last update. Now, I can no longer interact with Reda or his subordinates in other locations. I now get the dreaded Online Service Error. Could not connect to Xbox Live. (0x001001101) And. . . on top of that, I've lost all my opals, all 150+ of them. There's a big zero in that column now.

And yes, I have already rebooted my console and wi-fi system. You guys gonna fix your fix?

@dastardly44 I can't interact with the codex page in Wincestre, can't pick it so this work around won't work. Cent arc completed, no dice also. Additionally have the same problem with Cartology, can't look at the maps available just like Reda. Can get contracts but can't buy anything.

I can interact with Reda, but when I ask about missions or what he has in the store, it gives me an error that says "A problem occurred while trying to communicate with a Ubisoft online service". I can connect directly to Ubisoft from my console, but when dealing with the quest A Viking for Hire, I get the error every time.

How can I fix it so I can complete the quest?

Same problem, but Reda is dead for me!

@Ubi-Woofer I only picked up the game last weekend, I completed the first quest to open Reda "The Thousand Eyes" and since then have not been able to interact with him at all. I have not finished viking for hire as i cant pick anything up. As I've been looking through the thread I have seen that I can go to another town to pick up contracts so I'm doing that now in an attemp to see what happens after. This may be related to the other NPC problem as I cant interact with any NPC's. Ill reply to this in 4 days after doing the 10 contracts If anything did change. Thankyou.

@ubi-woofer So not sure if this is related, I coulnt finish the "A wise Friend" quest but after much forum searching and an long journey I managed to get it finished and now i can talk to all my npc's including Reda (havnt finished the "Viking for hire" quest yet). perhaps this is linked with the issues people are having with that quest. not sure but hope that little bit of weird info helps. im just happy i can get talk to my npc's and actually upgrade my armor and weps ahah. let me know if you wish for any more information thankyou!

I've tried to travel in Norway or Vinland, but Reda still dead, i just see his position is a little bit different every time.
I see in my savegame, Reda is alive during missions in Essexe, but he's dead when i start to conquer the Suthsexe.

Can't talk to Reda in Viking for hire. I cant reloading older saves, because I did not realize it was à bug so I went on to do other things for many many hours. I realised it was a bug when I ment my second bug in not being able to kill the Needle. I love this game and now I can not finish it.

Since yesterday Reda is basically dead on my screen as posted above. Can't interact with him to access the store. Tried going different parts of the map the coming back, reloading etc still laying dead. Although his position changes! Found him on the roof of general store lol, just laying there dead!
