Me too. Lost 4 hours of gameplay. Not happy.

I have been having the Data Corrupt issue on PC a significant amount also.

Will 1.0.4 fix the corrupt issue does anyone know?

I'm on an Xbox One X. Since the latest patch 1.0.4 I can't seem to load the game. [censored] Ubisoft, I paid for the season pass and all and now I can't even play the game anymore.

Hello I’m playing AC Valhalla on Xbox Series X

I’m currently on Chapter 4 Song of Soma mission Razing Earnningstone. Autosaves and manual saves are unavailable along with the fact I cannot fast travel at all. I’m not sure what’s going on but could really use help. I’ve gathered so many weapons and armor and have spent 21 plus hours that I don’t want to have to restart over....

Hello, the most recent update has corrupted my entire game. I repaired the game with Verify Files 4 or 5 times before it finally let me play. However, I have Verified Files about 15 times so far and it continues to find corruption. What is going on? Very confused on this.

@fightingwarrior I am reinstalling the game in its entirety. This is a big deal. These games aren't small and i've put 20 hours or more already in the game. It seems you may have corrupt files on your server that you're pushing to some of us. Could this be why so many people are getting corrupt saves because you're pushing out corrupt files and it's not matching your game's ability to validate the files? This would explain why I can verify the integrity of the game 50 times and it find corruption every single time, but still launch the game and play now. We're getting corrupt files from UBI servers. Just an idea ..

@fightingwarrior Another idea ... perhaps all your download mirrors aren't affected, just some of them?

Hi. Got it 2 times on Series X but overwriting the save seems to work. It had a quest name again.

With patch 1.04, the save files are randomly corrupted AND synchronized, EVEN when auto sync is disabled in the Ubi launcher.

This is the very definition of a defective product.

@ryusennin Definetly. And it was already bad but somehow they managed to make it worse after 2 weeks working on it. Fantastic.

Can't travel for vinland to england. When I finish the quest the game start charging to travel to england but never finish. Already reinstaled the game and there is no change...

Your issue is unrelated to corrupted saves. Create a new topic.

On PC:

After updating to 1.04 and loading up my game immediately noticed I was not able to fast travel. Ran around a bit to make sure the game didnt think I was in combat, tried fast traveling again still couldn't. Then tried to quick save and the game told me could not save game right now. Tried to manual save and told me the same thing. Thought maybe restarting ubiconnect would fix the problem so I did that. After restarting and starting up the game, ALL of my saves were labeled as corrupt. There was no "continue" option, only "New Game" and "Load game". Since all of my saves are "corrupt" I cannot select them to load into.

Did not encounter this issue once prior to 1.04 patch.

Are those almost 40 hours of playtime just lost now? Restarting from scratch would be very frustrating.

Please fix this!!

Almost all of my saves now say corrupt. I had over 100 hours of gameplay. All gone. Tried the work around to get it back and it doesn’t work.

@ubi-baron I’m on ps4 and had this problem as well. Lost over 100 hours. All types of saves and over 400Gb free on my platform.

@daddyhodor I uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it, and reinstalled the last update. It brought my save data back. This was on PS4 for me, but might be a similar fix for you.

I was playing through this game, creating a good amount of manual saves at different points in the event that i ever had to go back. I kept getting a crash so went into the epic launcher to verify game files. Completed that process but now all my save data is corrupt and my only option is to start over? I am 25 hours into the game, i dont want to start all over. How does an issue like this persist weeks after a launch? I can see its something that is being worked on but should we expect to have our save data restored when it is resolved or will it just prevent it from happening in the future? Any work arounds? Continue doesnt work for me, its not an option. Why is this even a thing for single player games?
