I have the same thing going on lost 7 hours of progress the other night and then yesterday it started working properly but at the end of the night I went to save from a specific spot and it shows corrupt and is still doing the same today Xbox 1 X

same issue here 25 hours of gameplay lost. This is GAMEBREAKING and should be resolved ASAP

Lets hit them u with Refund requests and make sure to get in touch with your local Consumer Rights to file a complaint against Ubisoft for selling us a not functional product.

Yep, I had crashing and freezing issues, after 1.0.4, so today I validated my files on Epic games, not only did it revert me back to 1.0.2 but now 90% of my saves show corrupted data, and I've lost approximately 30 hours from where I was to my last saved game.

Ever since the last update I've been having issues with manuel saving and i can't use the fast travel in game anymore. I played about 4h and finished alot of the mains story line yet when i opened my game again nothing had saved. Anyone else have these issues on Xbox one???

I have over a day of playtime in Valhalla. After my game froze and had to be restarted, all of my game saves had been titled as corrupted. This destroyed my 27 hours of gameplay and I still can not access the content. If anyone has a solution or way I can receive a refund it would be extremely appreciated.

I haven't been able to play the game since the 1.04 update. Whenever I select a save to load on the menu my game will instantly crash. I have tried everything. I was told by Ubisoft to wait and watch the forums for any updates. And that there's a good chance I've lost my 90 hours of progress. This is absolutely unacceptable that they refuse to directly address the most serious issue with their game, the fact that paying customers can't even play and have lost everything.

Just lost 10hrs worth of progress on this game after game crash and had to restart.
Somewhat [censored] off to be honest seen as this issue was supposed to be fixed in the last update.
Guess I will just go and do all the exploration and quests again.
Ffs ubisoft I hope people are going to be getting some kind of in game compensation for this.

@ozoneheals having the same issue, 82 hrs of gameplay in. Game loads perfectly then 5 minutes in I get a data corrupted message on all saves. Was working fine until 1.04 update. You’d think if Ubisoft was going to roll out an update, they’d stop putting game breaking bugs in them.

I play in PS5. Started Sons of Ragnar Quest and was able to move further than in PS4, where I was already stuck in the Beginning. So after the Raid of the Town I noticed, that I can't save anymore and fast travel isn't working. Also my PS tells me that there is a sync error with the cloud. All Manual save games are now corrupted and I can't save manually. The Auto save also doesn't work. For a AAA Game this one has way too many bugs. Hopefully this will be fixed quickly.

Also I can't leave the Area around the Town. Even if I finished the Quest the Game won't let me ride to my Home Town or somewhere else. It always Shows that the Area around is unavailable at the Moment. So I'm stuck in the Sons of Ragnar Quest and can't load an old save game, because they're all corrupted. This is ridiculuos. I paid 110€ for the Ultimate Edition and the Game is completely broken. This all happens after installing Patch 1.04.

I do not have a corrupt msm on a save l, but I am unable to save or fast travel on any save I have! 38 hrs in and no way to progress as I go back to an old save every time!

I am regularly experiencing problems with saved games. I don't understand exactly what the game does when I save a game, but somehow it seems to communicate with Ubisoft servers or the cloud rather than just sticking to saving locally. Most of the times it goes fast, but occasionally it is quite slower, up to 5 - 10 seconds. After that, if I re-open the save window or load window, the saved game appears as "data corrupt", and is obviously unusable. Since the game crashes regularly too, I ended up saving my game every 2-5 minutes and I rotate between 3 saved games to minimize losses.

Regularly, opening the save window I get an error saying that a connection with the server to get information failed. So that comforts in thinking that the game tries to do more than saving locally. But why ? After all, when I close the game, the Ubisoft Connect application synchronize saves with the cloud. So why would any connection with the server be needed while playing ? I wouldn't mind if it worked correctly, but it does not.

Speaking of which, Ubisoft Connect gives the error "Failed to synchronize cloud saves" today after a long timeout. Sort of explains why in-game saves often often took long today and I ended up with corrupted saves, I get that the cloud has problems today... but again, why is this happening while playing ?

While I am at it, I want to point out that I am a bit tired of seeing plenty of "manual cloud saved game" in my saved games, most of them being broken. With patch 1.0.4 a new one appeared, which seems to be created when you exit the game. Would be okay if it didn't crash the game when you attempt to load it, because in effect you can't click "continue" anymore after starting the game, as this is the saved game that the game is going to try to load.

And last but not least, when I start the game and click "load" (because, remember, "continue" now crashes the game), there is that extra pop up appearing, asking if I am sure because I could loose unsaved progress. Really ? From the main menu ?

Me to, the game crashes, and my data is corrupted, restart the game didn't work, several times, more than 5, some missions gone, and repeat the missions???? COME OOOOOON!!!!! .... im done with this game... I will return to the store...

I've been getting this error as well, on PS4. However, in my case, it is only when I've been disconnected from the internet, so I'm wondering if the issue has to do with how the game is set up to handle cloud saves.

This bug had me factory reset my whole ps4. Besides that all saves are corrupted. Lost 35hours of gameplay. Too bad i can not return it. Bs. Ac is dead to me.

** Update** So after going back to Epic games launcher a few times, and validating my files, miraculously the Ubisoft installer did some type of update, and not only put me back at patch 1.0.4 but seems to reinstated all saved games, with NO corrupt data showing, it may of missed my last one putting me back only a few hours, I save often both quick save and manual save, after I learned my lesson years ago by losing a ton of game play with just quick saving/corrupt game file's, had one crash since in maybe 30 hours of play, so hang in there boys and girls cause miracles do happen. On PC
