@kingdievl hello I also walk into the fish house and can not speak with them and start the quest thus can not proceed with the storyline.

@gorechi many Valhalla for you man!! You saved my game and my 70 hours invested in the game!! When the bard shows up at the door. DO NOT TALK TO THE BARD. I had to reload a previous save and go through without engaging in conversation outside the long house

Since the update it is still not possible to open the door in the longhouse! Please fix this....!!!!

still stuck with no quest marker... this is just rediculous... i just want to play... im so stuck..please do something... do your job

@cyanidejay have you found a fix to this yet? I haven't been able to find a work around. I get the door open but nothing happens.

@halaloya when you opened the door did it pull you into a cutscene? nothing happens when i force it open

@risexchace No I haven't been able to advance. I actually stopped playing because of this, I think I'm going to go back and change my pledge area and continue with other areas. But if this isn't fixed by the time I run out of other areas, I'll drop my UPLAY sub and just not come back. I had this exact same type of issue back in AC Unity that prevented me from finishing the game as well. This is really disheartening that this type of issue continues to arise, I don't see why we can't have the option to drop a quest to reset it entirely and restart it so that these types of problems can be renavigated.

In one mission; Brewing Rebellion, I cannot get Sigurd or Haytham to help force open the door to the longhouse. I have done the following:

1. Gone back to a previous save point and redid the mission and got the same result.
2. Restarted my XBOX.
3. Pursued other missions, then gone back to Brewing Rebellion.
4. Left the Animus and got back in to try the mission.
5. Shot Sigurd in the foot to reposition him to help with force open.

All led back to the same result; Eivor trying to force open the door to the long house by himself.

Any tips is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have the same problem. Been waiting for a fix for weeks now. The problem is in both PS4 and PS5 on the brewing religion mission. I really do not want to start the game over for a third time. I also have a problem grabbing the key in between the rocks on the going deeper mission.

basically this game is loaded with so many bugs it’s very disappointing because I can not progress any further

@theflash0412019 It wasn't but I figured that issue out actually. Still just waiting on the other issues to be resolved. I have completed nearly everything else that is available. Sad they're not communicating with everyone.

Actually @gorechi 's workaround worked for me.

How funny that my last save was actually that quest? I just had to fast travel to Buckingham's port and get to the long house, tried to open the door, then the crazy lady joined, and it works !!

@gorechi huge thanks!!! How lucky am I? My last save was just after talking to this crazy woman So I could not be more ready for the workaround which worked.

@sword_gas because it gets lost in the sea of posts or they already completed this quest and thus cannot use the workaround.

And a workaround is not a fix.

Nonetheless let's help everybody by linking @gorechi 's post to avoid having and endless loop of complaints that will get the workaround lost even further
