Hello, sorry if my english is bad, i'm french.
In the grantebridgescire's story, Soma ask Eivor to designate a traitor BUT when I tell her to kill Galinn, she kill Birna, so I can't kill the good person, help

@helpfuul What? You picked Galinn but Soma killed Birna? That really should not happen. Looks like a glitch/bug.
Do you have a manual save before that part? Try reloading it and play that part again. -
@ubi-woofer any update on this? Want to make sure its still a focus and they are working on it

I apologise for the delayed update. Thank you for continuing to update this thread with your experiences of the issue.
The development team are still looking into this further. At this moment in time, we have no new information to share regarding the investigation. They are still interested in collecting the save files of players who have been affected by this. If you play on PC/PS4, please can you open up a support ticket and submit your save files for investigation. Once you have done this, please share your case number within the thread so we can ensure it's passed on to the development team.
If you're unable to submit your save files, then we would still appreciate videos that show this issue happening in-game. We can then pass these along for investigation as well. Thank you!

Is there an update for this because even by releasing new content there's nothing that will convince me to play it again until I'm able to continue with the story? If there's no date then how do we go about getting a refund because I've had enough of waiting. It's not what I paid for!

I'd like to provide you all with an update. At this moment in time, the development team are still investigating this issue. They have been able to collect enough save files in the meantime. Thank you to all who took the time to open support cases and submit these for investigation.
We currently have no further information to share regarding the investigation. Please note that this includes a definite ETA for a fix to be deployed. I would recommend keeping an eye out within our News & Announcements forum for further updates regarding this issue. In the meantime, please feel free to continue sharing your own experiences within this thread.

On Assains Creed Valhalla on the PS4, Soma will not kill Galinn in the stench of treachery quest.
I have found all the clues.
No matter how many times I reload she always kills a person I did not accuse.
This is a real game breaking glitch as it’s preventing me from continuing with the game how I would choose to do so.
I feel it’s more important that bugs like this are reported and fixed than fixing glitches that only affect aesthetics. -
@ubi-borealis I got to say, I am very dissapointed. I requested a refund with case number: 14182011. I haven't been able to continue playing the game since November due to this and it haven't received the attention needed.

im quite suprised that this bug is still not fixed to be honest. this problem is known since november 2020, thats more than 3 months. many people having problems with the quest "the stench of treachery" and it really destroys the gaming experience not beein able to complet this quest properly and therefor to finish the story. i really hope this is fixed soon.

Maybe this input helps on the investigation:
The first time I went to Soma, I chose option: 2. Lif, but I cancelled. I thought again, walked around, did some things, and then came back to choose option: 3. Galinn, and I confirmed. Now in the video Soma does not kill Galinn, but she still kills Lif. This is not corresponding to my choice.
To test, I tried to choose option: 1. Birna. and cancelled after. Then I went for Galinn again. Now Birna was killed by Soma.
A second test on this confirmed the bug, I now first chose Birna, then cancelled and now went for Lif and confirmed.. Still Birna was being killed by Soma.
The error in this quest is the following:
- when you use the cancel option instead of confirming the traitor, and after you choose another option it will still choose the option that was cancelled in order from low (#1) to high (#3). If 2 Lif was first chosen and then cancelled, (and 1 Birna was never chosen,) then 2 Lif will still be killed when going for option 3 Galinn.
- when you first accuse Birna, then cancel to accuse Birna, Birna will still always be killed, whether you choose 2 Lif or 3 Galinn.
There is no option to accuse Galinn anymore, since it has been quite some save games ago that I accused Lif. Every option possible, Lif or Birna are always being killed. Which changes the outcome of the quest and possibly quite some part of the game.
Solution should be found in the option to cancel your initial call for the traitor. After canceling this for the traitor the game should not remember that. Now it seems to remember that you chose something before. This can be recognized by the fact that the option are 'greyed'.
As you can see I chose 2 Lif first and cancelled - option is greyed - , to come back later for option 3. Now, choosing option 3 results in killing Lif. My assumption is that the game 'remembers' what I chose before.

@ubi-borealis This is absolutely abysmal. It's been almost four months. A third of a year. You guys couldn't even put something in so we can restart this one mission? Absolutely unforgivable. Utter failure.

Hello there!
I apologise for the double post. I'd like to reach out to you all with an update. I'm happy to announce that the issue wherein Soma would ignore the chose traitor is due to be fixed in TU 1.2.1. This update will deployed 27 April, 2021 at 1 PM CEST / 8 AM ET.
If you are still encountering issues with Soma and the choice of traitor following TU 1.2.1, please don't hesitate to update this thread so we can take a closer look. Please include a video that shows the following:
- You have TU 1.2.1. installed. You can view this information in the opening game menu in the bottom right-hand corner.
- The issue still occuring in-game.

Resolution confirmed, the update made that the person is being killed who is accused.
