I've never liked 'fast travel', it always felt cheap, so if i can navigate the world properly I will.

I'm really enjoying Valhalla for allowing you to sail (and ride) where you need to go, with a pretty cinematic (and song) on boats.

Do you skip the 'fast travel' option? 😊

I don't know if anyone made a thread about this (specifically in combat), but I think I will give the recipe for what some people demand from this.

An optional closer camera distance during combat would benefit greatly with both immersion and grittiness the game tries to cover, and it would be awesome to play closer to the character in a dangerous state. I understand the reason behind the "adaptive dynamic camera" positioning (zoom-out after you enter a large group of enemies, and zoom-in where there is only a few) to give the players a clear view on where the enemies are and control the situation at the ease of players. But some players like me want an immersive camera option which basically is a closer "fixed" camera position during combat, for use to feel the character's situation more. It is my one of the two sour tastes behind this beautiful game (the other is animation quality both the floaty feel and facial animations) and it ruins the fun. And I want to reiterate: I understand people would want the current camera system as it is their preference, so I want an option for it in settings thus makes me and everybody happy. 🙂

I will give both photo & video example so that would make it clear for devs if they are seeking for feedback on it. The basic suggestion would be let the camera stay like it is during exploration, it is a good sense of closeness to the character but I have a great example in one of the boss battles footage from the game.

The game feels so much like an arcade game and like there is much more potential. While I love the story and what graphics my old Xbox can handle, and have about 12 hours so far, there are a lot of bugs and the combat and movement feel so mundane and arcadey. I was hoping for the physics and movement to have the same feel and weight as Far Cry 5 just tuned for 3rd person, it feels like you weigh nothing and you aren't the one fighting, you are just telling Eivor what to do. The selection of enemies as well, having an archer run up to you and hit you with their bow, and how with archery there isn't a center mass critical. Having a 10 foot tall Saxon man run at you, throw rocks at you and simply fling you does not feel immersive at all as you are a fully grown, gear clad warrior with years of fighting experience that I would hope would be able to deflect and block attacks better. I wish there was more to combat in that you are worried what the enemy's next move and how you would dodge it or respond to it. I completely understand saving for storage as my 7 year old Xbox only has about 360 gb for games, but I would gladly sacrifice other games for this to be better. There should be an HD sound add on pack, and immersive movement and combat add ons as well, me and many others I have talked to think it would make the game absolutely perfect. I have been waiting for another Assassin's Creed with my people, and the story of this is just as captivating if not more than Origins and Odyssey and since it's still very early, there is nearly infinite potential.
