@ubi-woofer Hi, sorry for messaging you on this thread but I feel like I am talking to a wall with the live chat staff and I am well aware that you look into these issues instead of just giving the customers troubleshooting guides.
I am having a couple of issues on xbox one s that are potentially game breaking, I am not the only one.
Firstly, a lot of my npc's in my settlement have stopped functioning completely, I can not interact with them at all. The npc's are the following -
Shipwright
Tattoist
Hunter
Fisher
Cartographer
Barracks
I have tried everything and nothing seems to work.
Second. I have been getting an error message saying that there was a problem connecting to the ubisoft servers and to try again later, it keeps happening.
I believe the two may be linked because all of the npc's effected use some form of online or clock cycle feature.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello there,
As we have had no persistent reports of being unable to interact with settlement NPCs since the release of TU 1.2.1, we will now be locking this thread.
If you encounter any further trouble interacting with settlement NPCs, then please feel welcome to create a new thread and we’ll gladly take a closer look. When creating a new thread, please include any additional images/videos of the issue you’re encountering in-game, as this will be helpful for further investigation.
Thanks!
Hello so I've been playing the game and I'm up to the first raid and after the raid I go back to camp and I upgraded the blacksmith but the blacksmith didn't talk to me and I can't progress so I went back to later save and it still didn't work would really appreciate some help
Thanks
the main mission setting down don't lets me talk to the blacksmith after I build the house
Any got that bug also, alot of side quest are bugged for me because i cant complete them because when i talk to him nothing happens. i see a text bar on thier head and need to press E but nothing happens. how to fix this?
After i built the Blacksmith, Gunnar just stands and looks at it. I can't talk to him, Sigurd tells me to finnish business with Gunnar and i can't talk to anyone...
So I am in my settlement and after building the Armory there are no further options to build any other buildings or talk to anyone. On a video, right after building the Armory I should have been able to talk to people, but no one in the camp has the prompt to be able to talk to them. please help.
I can’t talk to certain npcs that run certain buildings in my village. I can’t talk to the person that runs the barracks to edit my crew. I can’t talk to the npc where I can change the design on my longboat, or the npc running the tattoo shop. There are other npcs that I can talk to but can’t do certain actions such as giving Hytham my order medallions or codex pages that I have collected. I also cannot give the museum owner the Roman relics that I have collected.
So I can't talk to the blacksmith after I upgrade and can't do any of the other upgrades for the settlement.
After I finished up the way of the berserker mission I went back to recruit Bjorn and it won't let me access the barracks. I see the person i'm supposed to talk to but no prompt to talk to her comes up. I've reloaded and restarted the game but nothing seems to work.
I cannot interact with anyone in the settlement. Game's lovely, played 8h and this is like my 4th bug..
Build the shipyard, no one there has the talk icon, woman works away at that piece of lumber and the guy just hammers the air. Restarted the game, reloaded earlier saves and built it again, same problem.
I would like to start by saying thank you and how much I’ve been enjoying the game! I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the bugs, but in a time where so many games don’t come out until basically version 2.0, I’m having a blast with Valhalla!
After completing the berserker quest the barracks at my settlement stopped working. The lady out front is there yet I can not speak with her. Same with my ship builder, Rowan, and hunters lodge, though I’ve been able to talk to Petra for those relevant quests. I’ve tried reloading/fast traveling/exiting the game and booting it back up all to no avail. It was working fine until Bjorn Bloodtooth joined up, did he scare everyone into silence? If anyone has a fix for this I’d appreciate it. Traders, fisherman, and tattoos are basically the only buildings that are working.
Every other NPC in the settlement is fine but Eydis from the barracks shows no talk dots above her head and can't be interacted with. Went to a previous safe game and everything there was fine. Ive overwriten this safe game to see if that would help (Was to far back to sacrifice my progress). But it didn't help.
In addition to this I also can't talk to Rowan from the stables and can't talk to the npc from the shipyard I just build. And er seems to be no interaction possible to with the brewery, although i don't know if there should be. The barracks is one of the first buildings i build, but these last three are all sinds i noticed the barracks bug.
I can not access about half of my purchased settlement stores. When you try to talk to the merchant no speech icon pops up.
Have the exact same issue, shipyard, stables and the roman guy don't have talk icons. Changing horses at least has other NPCs I can use but not customizing the ship really sucks. Seems to be a very isolated incident though since I haven't actually seen other people mention this.
