I am having an issue in the new Assassin's Creed: Valhalla game on the Xbox Series X where I am attempting to complete this world event but am unable to progress. The world event is "Fishing Lesson" in Oxenefordscire and you are supposed to catch fish in the pond using the fishing line until the child confronts you about her and her brother's ruse. However, it does not matter how many fish I catch, I am unable to activate the moment where the child tells me of her ruse.

I'm having the same issue except on PC.

So I hard reset my game and xbox and was able to complete the world event. A fairly simple fix, so if you haven't tried that yet then I'd recommend that, otherwise I will keep this thread open.

I was able to complete it after loading up the game today. Seems that it does get fixed by restarting the game.

i have it on xbox one x dev it been like 2 weeks now and dev dont care by the looks of it they got there money now they legged it

I was able to finish the world event, but what happens afterward is what makes me feel frustrated.
Remember Eivor said 'Come now, you little scaled coward, pull on my line' and 'Just a regular fish' during the world event?
Yup, ever since the world event was completed, Eivor will never stop repeating these two lines every time I fish anywhere in the world., even with a romantic partner. He repeats this for EVERY SINGLE FISH.

This is still an issue. I’ve tried restarting system and game couple times. Can’t progress this event. Nel won’t comment on any fish I catch. Playing on Xbox series x.

So, I’m having this same issue. Playing on PS4. I caught the third fish and during the animation of putting it in my satchel they talking bubbles went away on the world event girl and the game prompts me to become anonymous. I AM ANONYMOUS! I can see her and the brother by the tree. No bad guys around for at least 300 meters. Squash these bugs Ubisoft! Currently doing a hard reset. Hope it works

I’m playing in PS4. I’ve tried shutting it off, doing different quests, moving to different areas. And this quest won’t reset. I’ve cleared the pond twice and she still won’t say anything. Ubisoft any ideas how I can complete this mystery quest when it’s broken?

I travelled to Norway (and back) then fell off a cliff and died...that seemed to work

@xxxxtann3rxxxx I had problems with "You must be anon" before...it was a snake. Look out for animals like hogs etc.

Pfff having a fishing problem to......... THERE’S NO FISH AT ALL!! I play on ps5 en yesterday the i was kicked out of the game. i just need 6 kind of fish then i played the game 100%! Very annoying!!

Having this issue on ps4. I Saw the event in the Beginning of the game but ignored it. And now the kid wont comment me when fishing ive hard reset many times loaded different saves nothing works. Ive cleared almost the whole map except 4 carins and this quest, so annoying i cant complete it..

@haydenfadler I've caught fish the size of small trucks and yep, "just a regular fish".
