The video doesn't play after "Forcing the door" to the room and objective can't be progressed as next objective will not trigger.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hello all!

Following the announcement of TU 1.2.0, I would like to reach out to you all with an update. The issue wherein Halfdan will not follow you into the room after the door has been forced open is due to be resolved in this update.

This update is due to be deployed 16 March, 2021 at 1PM CET/8AM EDT. You can read the patch notes and learn more here.

If the issue still persists for you following the deployment of TU 1.2.0, please can you provide us with a video that shows the following:

    • You have TU 1.2.0 installed. You can check this in the title menu in the bottom right-hand corner.
    • You are unable to proceed with the quest after forcing the door open.

    Thanks all! 😊

Exact same issue here. Worse, he was actually in front of the door before I saved, loading back in to see, now he's at the entrance and I can't do anything but trying to force the door open even though it's already open. Obviously Halfdan doesn't come to me to force open that already-open door.

I think I have the issue because when I first came to that place (a long time ago), my character slid under the door and I couldn't get out of the room in any other way than by unlocking the door.

    Unfortunately not.

Ubisoft Support Staff didn't even acknowledge the issue and bug is not on the "Reported Issue Megathreads" https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/81608/reported-issue-megathreads-please-check-here-if-a-thread-exists-for-your-issue-updated-28-11

That's the last time when I bought pre-order.

@jbq I've also tried contacting them on Twitter etc. And no response anywhere. Really dissapointed....

@schaki95 Their not replying to me either. Really unprofessional. Even just the slightest acknowledgment of the issue would mean heaps to us.

I'm having the same issue, its the last quest I have to finish. I explored the area before the quest, and was able to force the door open early because an npc was following me around. Now Halfdan just stands by the ladder and I can't finish the story.

    @Ubi-Woofer
Can you please ack and add this thread to "Reported Issue Megathreads"? Thanks in advance.

I think they tried to fix it as now I'm able to see "Force open" option again, but NPC it's not moving.

I'm in the same boat. Had Petra following me from the "Have you seen this Man?" quest, and she helped "Force Open" instead of Halfdan. Now he either stays at the entrance, or follows you to the door and just stands there. Gives an option to "Force Open" the already open door, but Halfdan just stands and watches while you attempt to barge through thin air.

Tried leaving the area, but doesn't reset.

Halfdan is glitched/stuck in one spot & cannot transition to cut scene - have tried fast travel, sleeping in bed, completing other quests etc & it’s still stuck. Cannot advance/complete the game until resolved - please help!

Same issue with Petra having forced the door open and came back to area later. Disappointed there isn’t a fix in place yet with this many people having a similar issue.
