    WHenever I want to make a screenshot, with Ubi overlay with pressing F12, to make an image of a bug, the game freezes or crashes. I do not see any window asking permission, the game mostly just stops and goes back to desktop.

    Hey guys I've experienced 2 crashes now when I take screenshots while in game. Previously (started playing 11:30 PM CST on the 10th and most days following) the screenshot and FPS were not working/not appearing but when I played last night they started working. I was syncing a viewpoint in East Anglica and taking screenshots while the camera rotated but my game crashed. I was also taking screenshots at a viewpoint in Grantbridgescire I believe and experienced the same issue.
    I can attempt to recreate my bug if desired and send my DxDiag and whatever u may need to bug fix.

    i laso crashed about 4 times during taking a screenshot with Ubisoft connect [default key button is F12]...

    @th3r4bb1t Would you be able to grab a video of this happening please? Are you getting any error code at all?

    @ubit00n i can't send a video yet but i can tell that it happens after you play a while, if you'll play for a few minutes you can ss, no error code but it said to send crash report.

    I do not have a video, but it happens every time I press f12, the screenshot button from the ubisoft game overlay. One moment it freezes, the other the game totally crashes to desktop and sometimes it even locks my PC (having to force reboot). Drivers and everything else on PC is up-to-date. It may (as said above) that it is after a while.

    Hello everyone,

    it has happened to me recently that the game freezes when I try to take a screenshot. Once during a synchronization and once during the cutscene after Sigurd and Eivor decide to leave Norway.

    Is this a bug perhaps or might there be an issue of another kind? Has this happened to you, and if yes, how did you fix it?

    Hi there @concretecee, thank you for reaching out for help! I appreciate you taking the time to let us know that this was happening to you, and I would like to look into this further. Just to check, are you trying to take a screenshot with your F12 key? Also, would you say that the game crashes/freezes every time that you take a screenshot? Or is it random?

    @Ubi-oof Hey @concretecee hope you don't mind me hijacking your post, I have the same problem. It's like a 50/50 chance that the game crashes on me while using the hotkey for taking screenshots with games launched with Ubisoft Connect and it's pretty frustrating, since I wan't to be able to take screenshots of cutscenes as well where photomode isn't available.. Is there a fix to this issue?

    Hey everyone! I've merged a couple threads to help keep all of this consolidated.

    First if you have not already, please make sure that you've done our basic PC troubleshooting, in addition to disabling any unnecessary background programs, disabling any DirectX hooking software such as the Discord overlay, Overwolf, etc., and trying out this workaround!

    If you're still not having any luck, let us know what you were doing when you tried taking a screenshot in as much detail as possible, and if you could upload your saves for us to take a look at, then we'd appreciate that as well!
