I have the same problem... My gpu is a 1070 and i have alredy installed dx12. I reinstalled nvdia drivers, intel drivers and the game. I dont know what to do 😞
My cpu is an i5-4440, I know it is lower than the minimun, but the thing it says when the game cant start is that my gpu does not support dx12.
Help pls, i really want to play this game xd.

your cpu seems to have an integrated graphic card, are you sure it's not used instead of the 1070?

your processor and GPU are wildly outdated, i don't know how you can run modern fps games with it, anyway your gpu is so old, it's certainly not dx12 level

got my titans activated. but still not working. found out that they are running at Requires GPU with DirectX 12 (Feature Level 12_0) support. witch apparantly Titans only have Future lvl 11_0......
tho i find it wierd, since the minimum requirement was GTX 960....

titan gtx is a 7xx generation card, 960 is a 9xx, it may have more powerful computing power, but an older architecture than the minimum required card and predates the release of windows 10 by 2 years!

Why hasn't Ubisoft addressed this issue hundreds of players can't get access to game due to it...
This game is expensive to begin with now we face having to upgrade our graphics cards which is expensive in itself or a refund which some of can't do due to various reasons..

Ubisoft please give us an answer this issue...

    Thanks

@Skodri5 Thanks for posting, and please accept my apologies for the delayed reply.

Just so I fully understand your issue, can you please clarify what your issue is with regard to DX12? Do you have a GPU that does not support Feature Level 12_0, and therefore you are unable to run the game? Or does your GPU not support DX12 at all?

Once I have this information I can update your support case to include it for your refund request to be considered by our team. As is, I can see you requested a refund on the basis of not meeting the minimum system requirements, but for us to verify this, we do need to investigate this by collecting your MSINFO and DXDIAG files as well. 🙂 Please submit those to your case and let me know when you've done so!

@JamesPyle I would advise against issuing a chargeback on a purchase made through our store, as there may be consequences for your account imposed if you do. Please read the linked article for more information on this subject. I'd encourage you to contact our team personally if needing further assistance.

Hello everyone! Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. I'd like to provide a few answers to questions that have been posted here in this thread, and hopefully clear up any misunderstandings regarding the system requirements. I have merged several threads together here to form this megathread, so I do apologise if prior conversations from the separate threads appear a little disjointed in this bigger thread now!

Firstly, I'd like to reiterate that DirectX 12 is a minimum requirement for Assassin's Creed Valhalla - DirectX 11 and any previous DirectX versions are not supported. In addition to this, feature Level 12_0 support is required for compatible GPUs, and we specified this in our announcement / news article here. If your GPU supports DirectX 12, but does not have Feature Level 12_0 support, you will be unable to play Assassin's Creed Valhalla as your GPU does not meet the minimum requirements for the game. If you are unsure how to determine whether your GPU supports Feature Level 12_0, you can find this out by running a DXDIAG report, visiting the "Display 1" tab in the pop-up window and under "drivers", find the line "Feature Levels", which should list all supported Feature Levels. Please make sure that, if you're a laptop user, you're utilising your dedicated GPU and not your integrated one as well!

If your GPU supports DirectX 12, has Feature Level 12_0 support, and meets our system requirements / high-end system requirements (as appropriate for the performance you want to achieve) - and you still receive the "Non-DX12 Video Card" error - please make sure to run through our basic PC troubleshooting, ensuring that you have the latest drivers for your GPU installed and the latest OS for your PC in particular. If issues should still persist after that, I would encourage you to contact us in a support case or Live Chat for us to investigate further with you and fully analyse the DXDIAG report you already ran, and your MSINFO report as well. Please attach these documents to your case using these instructions. We will consider any refund requests submitted on the basis of not meeting the requirements for the game on a case-by-case basis.

I do not know of any plans to add support for the game on Feature Level 11_1 or under as the requirement for 12_0 support was stated prior to the game's release, however I will communicate all of the feedback and comments shared in this thread with the developers for them to consider it. Please do not rely on this support being implemented however, as I cannot promise that it will be. If you would like to share any additional feedback, you are welcome to do so in this very thread. 🙂

TL;DR: DirectX 12 is a minimum requirement; Feature Level 12_0 support is a minimum requirement; if you're still receiving the "Non-DX12 Video Card" error despite your GPU fully meeting our minimum system requirements and having completed our PC troubleshooting, please reach out to us in a support case or Live Chat for further assistance with your MSINFO and DXDIAG files attached! No plans to add Feature Level 11_1 or below support that I know of, but I've forwarded all feedback left in this thread to the devs for their consideration. Refund requests submitted for not meeting the minimum requirements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Thank you for reading, and have a great rest of your week. 😄

@kazoo_player Did you already open a support case to request a refund? If you did, I am happy to double-check if we can do anything further for you if you can provide the reference number here in this thread. If you did not already open a case, you are welcome to do so, but as stated in my previous post these are considered on a case-by-case basis.

@MeLmo0 Glad to hear that you were able to resolve your issue with the help of jeje_71! 🙂 As I've written in my above post, if you do have two GPUs due to using a gaming laptop etc., please check that you're using the dedicated one rather than the integrated!

I bought this game back in may 2020 at that time there was no indication that my graphic's card had to be 12-0 or higher if it had I wouldn't have bought it.....

Thanks for letting me give you 130.00 Bucks Merry Christmas

Thank you Ubi-Woofer for your response in the forum.

In answer to your question, i have a GPU that does not support Feature Level 12_0, and therefore i am unable to run the game.

As requested i attached the MSINFO and DXDIAG files.

    Thanks you in advance!

@csapiistvan I have GTX 960M too! I thought I was able to meet the system requirements but it turns out it requires DX12 FL 12_0. It's such a shame that we have to go through this issue! UBISOFT FIX THIS ASAP!

Thank you for the reply ubisoft.

Hopefully this will help people to remember that gaming is a privilege, and one that requires maintenance and upgrades. Letting your PC fall behind in upgrades unfortunately means you aren't going to get the latest games. Spend money on your card before a new AAA game that you can't play. I hope you all get an upgraded card so that you fine folks may enjoy this beautiful game! Best of luck everyone.

Thank you all for continuing to share your support for a patch that would allow the game to be playable on DirectX 12 Feature Level 11_1 or below. 🙂

I've already communicated this feedback to the developers, and will continue to update the report as new comments come in on this thread.

Again, as Feature Level 12_0 support is required in our system requirements and this was communicated before the launch of the game, I cannot promise that a patch will be introduced to support previous Feature Levels, but I'm happy to keep sharing your support for this with the developers!

@dionysian_tea Hey there, we did release the system specifications for PC ahead of release here, and our website has articles for both the basic / minimum requirements and also the higher-end requirements. I sincerely apologise if you feel these weren't visible enough, and I'll be happy to pass along any feedback you have about the publication of these.
