The quest and game has worked great for me so far, a small bug here and ther but overall a great experience until now. When I progress with the quest Bloody path to peace after I have fished eels with the future earl and I am to speak with Ivarr. The conversation starts fine, but just as it is about to end when me and the bishop is suppose to prepare for the peace talks, the screen just goes black, and nothing happens.

@werndin Edit: Apparently Ubisoft censores their own quest names lol, I guess I have to write it like "The red fluid that comes out of your body" path to peace

I'm sorry that the quest is not progressing. Could you please try verifying your game files and testing the game again? If this does not work, try reloading a save before the eel fishing, and do it again.

@ubi-spud I am also bugged on this quest. I have saved it before the fishing, fished with bow the first time cause I dont like using the rope. Went to talk to Ivarr and chose the middle option for dialogue. Black screen and no loading symbol. Reloaded and fished with the rope for the eels, went to Ivarr again and chose the bottom dialogue option, same black screen with no load symbol at the bottom right. Reloaded and then chose the first dialogue option. Still blackscreen. Nothing I do sorts this out. I have tried fast travelling away, closed and reopened the game. The game files are verified and I am playing on PC. Also have tried reloading a game at the start of the chapter where you break out of the Church and still that does not let me continue. As soon as you finish the cutscene with Ivarr, Ceobert and the Bishop it just blackscreens and no loading symbol. I have 75+hours in now and I dont want to restart it all as its a great game but these bugs are very frustrating especially when we can do nothing so sort them out

@ubi-spud I managed to fix this and get around the bug. No matter what I did on PC the cutscene would not trigger the next part. So I loaded it up on my PS5 and waited for the cloud save to download. Just went over to Ivarr and its completed it all fine now. I know this is not a great fix for everyone but if you have a console and ACV on console to, might be worth trying it.

@werndin Hi, I had the same issue on PC with this quest. After fishing for eels I went to talk to Ivarr and when finished the conversation the screen went black and nothing happened. I tried it a couple of times with different conversation options, but got the same result.
Then I tried it again, (had a save before burning the houses and killing soldiers) replayed the quest, quickly burned houses and killed evryone, then killed eels with bow, skipped all the conversation and still got the black screen. Then I decided to check my phone and left the game on this black screen for about 2 minutes, and suddenly another cutscene started playing.
I am not sure that replaying the quest helped or you just have to wait on the black screen for a certain amount of time, but I hope my experience helps you.

@werndin I had the same issue on PC. After changing the world details setting to other then low the cut scene started.

@somewhathelpful I am having this exact issue. It's so frustrating.

I have a manual save from before going in, so I'm able to escape that way since all my autosaves are now from within the cave. However, this means I can't continue to the story, as I get the same error each time - I walk into the cave, Eivor comments on the blood and the camera swoops into the wall before showing a bloody patch before loading the cave with the body. I can't progress because the moveable rock, is pushed up against the wall and when I try to make Eivor climb, she gets stranded in mid-air and then dies.

I'm having trouble with this Bloody path to peace, quest. After war weary, I cleared out the mine, but had previously cleared out the other required area earlier, so it was already done.
After clearing the mine, the next quest (bloody path to peace) would not become available. I found a thread that said to go to wesberie and find ivarr and ceolbert in the woods. I did this and we burned the village and I fought the boss guy, all the while, no "quest" for these actions came up.

After fishing, I went to find ceolbert in the cave and he's not there. Blood and wolves are there, but he isn't.

It appears I've proceeded too far to go back to war weary now.

Bro..i solved this issue. Just need to reload any autosave game before u speak to the drank guy whom u will throw it into the lake. Head up to the cave..remove the barrier where the cheobert will be..then, get out from the cave and find the drank guy. Once finish talking, head to the cave again..the glitch will be there again but the barrier will not block ur path anymore!

On Bloody Path To Peace Quest after burning all huts and killing all soldiers and time to fish for Eels with Ceolbert, selecting fishing line in menu shows Fishing Currently Unavailable.
Please tell me there is a solution to solve this. Even when trying to fish with weapons nothing available to fish seems empty.

Bug still remains Jan.2023, so just be patient - the screen goes black, but after some time another cutscene starts.
