Saving symbol and freezing during missions

In the mission where you help Soma take back her city, the game was constantly saving (saving symbol in the corner was super active) and every time it did, nearly every 5 secs, the game froze Eivor and all NPC's in place but I could pan the camera angles at will. I have experienced this in other areas of the game, but it was really bad here.
I swore I wasn't gunna touch another ubisoft game because of previous titles having similar issues. More the fool me for breaking own oath. Guess this was an expensive way to remind myself. This should never have been released this year.
