@rebelhunter15 patch 1.0.2 says: addressed various quest-related nuisances improves performance and stability. Miscellaneous bug fixes. But my sons of ragnar quest is still bugged I don't understand this and if they have something to suggest for the patch to work other than starting over I would love to hear it

+1 with the same issue. Tried some of the suggested steps to resolve, but none of them work- presumably since I already talked to Ubba when it was bugged. Hopefully they fix soon.

@rebelhunter15 the 1.02 patch is old, they have not addressed the issue.

Same problem as a lot of others on this forum. Logged 35+ hours in game. I've tried everything but there's a bug which will not allow me to progress on the sons of ragnar quest. I cannot speak with Ubba. Please help, was really enjoying the game up until this point.

@ground314 same thing happened to me I reloaded and then a boat appeared on land and broke it further.

The talk to Ubba quest is bugged, talked to him and had the cut scene with Ivar and the replacement kings son, everyone stood around and didnt mount up to continue the quest.. a long ship is sideways on the road. and the main story line is bugged and locked out saying "talk to Ubba" with no option to talk to him or continue. I am locked out of proceeding in the main storyline. and i am 30 hours into the game.. help?

PS4: Unable to speak with Ubba for the quest "The Sons of Ragnar" Chap. 1, Part of: The Kingmaker's Sage of the storyline. He originally would not show up on the map and I had to spend some time locating him and when I did, I am not able to speak with him to continue the quest. I've attempted to redownload the game and go to a previous save and the outcome was the same. I've also attempted to reload the map by traveling to Norway and back to England and would find a viking ship next to him on land.

Even I am facing issues. I am on Xbox One S, bought the game (digital copy) on the launch day itself. Ran well till I am 28 hours in game. When I followed for main quest line, Sons of Ragnar - Speak with Buppa, it stuck. I spoke with Buppa, but no progress happening after that, Buppa is just standing there. There is a Long Boat on Road, White Elf walked on his front two legs, I can row boat on land, few world event quests are broken, items are not at place or cant be interacted with, cant give feast to my crew as I am not able to interact with bell, such glitches. Having problem post 1.02 patch note. On internet I found few other players facing same problem in different quests, on all platforms (PC, XBOX and PS). But any confirmation on next patch is yet to come from Ubisoft. So just waiting for next patch, hope it works.

@ubiexcellent I did try that, as I had save before that quest. But still not working for me, Buppa is still resisting to go anywhere, just standing there with marker on his head.

Hello, are you serious @ubisoft , @ubi-swaggins ?? Pay a minimum of 70 € games (100 € with the season pass) and not be able to progress in the main adventure! Imagine the same kind of Bug in a mario bros 30 years ago you would have to patch the game cartridge ?? it is a real lack of professionalism and respect towards your consumers under the pretext of always releasing games more quickly in order only to make profits by abusing a very lucrative saga!
I advise you to do the necessary very quickly, otherwise many disillusioned players may ask for financial compensation ....
Patch this bug and all the others quickly please!

Like everyone here, same problem with Ubbe, I'm on ps4 and impossible to advance in this quest... After a week it would be time to finally patch everything Ubisoft

same here the longboat on the land and cannot talk to ubba tried everything i swear none of it worked but i did have the cutscenes with ivar coming in but then they all disappear except ubba and the quest still ask me to go talk to him ..
this game is broken and im starting to loose faith so i hope the next patch is coming soon and won’t destroy my precious save of 38h of farming in you guys

Same issue with Ubba. Tried fast travelling to Norway and back, restarting from previous saves, restarting my xbox and game, uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. None of these have worked so I have given up to focus on other objectives. The only other option would be to start a new game which I am reluctant to do due to already putting in quite a few hours into the game.
Originally it was just Ubba that wouldn't speak to me, now the boat of vikings has appeared on land.
Really hoping that there will be a patch for this cause it prevents me from progressing the story.

same, I'm level 85 and there is no way I'm restarting the game since I don't have any saves before it other than one that I've tried to use but still no luck
