The idea of shunting Hytham's boat along the river with your longship has a certain comedic value, but I fully appreciate that it isn't the solution!

The developers were unable to reproduce this issue so far, so have requested that save files be submitted for their review. If any of you are playing on PC or PS4, you can read all about how to prepare your save files for submission in our support article here. You can open a support case directly from our website, or by starting a Live Chat. Once your case is created and the files have been submitted, please do let me know your case reference numbers here in the thread so that I can retrieve the files and submit them to the devs.

We've not received many new replies to this thread since my previous post, so I'd like to check in and ask whether the issue persists for those who previously replied here? If it does, and you play on PC or PS4, it would be greatly appreciated if you could submit your save files to us in a support case or via Live Chat, as the developers have specifically requested affected save files in order to be able to investigate this issue further.

@Krazklown342002 Are you still unable to proceed due to this issue? Does rowing the boat back to shore yourself, then forcing Hytham onto the shore, help you to proceed if so? It would be appreciated if you could send over your save file using the instructions in the above links for us to investigate as well. Thanks!

We announced last night that TU 1.1.1 will be released today on January 14^th, and in this patch there is a fix for an issue with To Serve the Light whereby Hytham gets stuck in the boat. Once the patch is deployed and you have updated your game, you should find that upon loading your save, he is able to depart from the boat and you are able to return to Ravensthorpe and have the quest continue as normal.

I hope that this fix may resolve the issue many of you have had with Hytham not rowing / leaving the boat, however, if you experience any further issues with this quest after the patch is deployed, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us again via this thread and share a short video clip demonstrating the issue to us. We’ll then continue the investigation and ensure that it gets looked into, as it may be that there are two similar issues at hand.
