I've completed the quest, must have gotten separated from my contact, and when I leave the area, it doesn't complete the 'Escape Walden' quest. I can't find my point of contact. I run all around. I fast travel.

Am I doing something wrong?

UPDATE

I went back several quick saves later, approached the walls of the town, and the dude popped back up next to me. I left the area, and the quest continued on.

By the way, another side note. Just before this, I was on a quick save that had me falling through the floor over and over. I had to go back three quick saves to not fall through the world. Good news is, it helped me finally do this quest.

I did all 3 attacks with the members of soma, when I finished them and returned to Soma a failure message popped up and I had to reload everything... Now it tells me I didnt do the quest with lif, to assasinate the priest... I DID IT! That's annoying

[censored].... the game literally just freezes and crashes. you cannot progress the main story due to this.. what a JOKE.
you cannot even aviod the "area" where it happens as its random..
i have had no issues at all in the 24 hours and 15% of what ive done with this game.. not a SINGLE issue until now... so no, its not my PC, its not my drivers, its not my windows updates, its not my files need varifying, its not anything on MY end in the slightest.

the game, the game and ubisoft are the problem.

when are we having updates? because the game is LITERALLY not playable anymore... i cant even go into other areas as im not even high enough to explore map and collect stuff from zones out my range of level...

mess... what an annoying mess this is...

Due to this and not being able to play the game anymore.... what about my sub... will i get a refund? or will i get another month free? because if i cant play the game i got the sub for.. then what a waste of money

I am stuck at Unholy father as well.

Killed the priest and exited the town. But quest keeps saying I need to leave Walden and he refueses to talk to me outside town. Follows me for a bit, and then just stop and ignores me. Went back all the saves I had, and it fixes nothing.

I killed the priest in the church and left the town again. Quest still says I have to leave Walden and never tells me to speak to Lif. He follows me out of the city and just ignores me.

I tried reloading to previous saves. Still bugged.

I tried fast travelling away, compl,ewting a couple of other quests, return to Walden and it still refuses to acknowledge that I have left the town.

What to do?

I have same issue. Cant progress with this quest. Stucked on "Escape Walden."

So i manage to fix the issue. I went back to the village .. kill every single soldier there ... kill priest again (which counted as citizen casualty) and then i left the village and got quest completed. I didnt even have to reload old save. Good luck guys.

This happened to me today. I tried riding away from the town and it didn't change anything, so I rode back to the entrance, dismounted, and went inside. I got detected by guards nearby, started a fight, and while killing a few of them it triggered the next part of the quest to go talk to Lif. So the text updated from "Escape Walden" to "Talk to Lif" and I got past the bug.

I've just had my 1st crashes in the game, in Walden during the Unholy father quest, 2 in a row, then when i loaded the game up afterwards, i am outside Walden with the quest saying leave Walden and it won't continue or update.

I've just had 2 crashes doing this after killing the priest, when i loaded the game back up, i'm outside Walden with the quest saying leave Walden and have no idea where to go or who to speak to, i'll try the above post.

Cannot edit my post, anyway update, i got past the bug in a similar way to Ironcarb's, although i didn't actually go in and fight, just went next to the fence and all of a sudden the quest updated and got past the bug, this might help some players with the same issue.

Same problem as many of the posts. Unable to move past the quest Unholy Father. I went in and cleared out Walden well prior to starting this quest. So I don't know if that was what did it. But I showed up and Lif popped up next to me with "escape Walden" as the quest objective and no matter how many times I go in and clear out Walden and then get out of Walden. It won't move to the next quest objective. This is very frustrating

Died while clearing Walden the first time I got the quest, now stuck at "escape Walden"

Cleared it multiple times since, wen't in and out, ran away from the town. The dude just pops up, follows me around, but I'm unable to speak to him.

I have completed the assassination and the game says to escape Walden. I have left Walden and completed loads of side quests but I cannot progress in the main storyline as this quest will not complete
