I had the same problem (ps4)
I know it needs sorting by ubisoft because it is a quality game but I got round it by Staring a new game . i Followed only the main story , (no treasure mysteries etc)
After the blade practice the story allows the story to continue, after the next mission i saved it. Collected treasure artifacts etc and it was fine . I know its not ideal as I spent 8 hrs previously collect everything, but at least I can play it now. Happy gaming !!

Did the same. Didn't complete all mysteries and treasures yet, but so far so good (and i have done more than before). But still, the problem remains. Imagine we get far in the campaign and then, boom, new bug that stops the progress (and maybe, considering how much we have played, maybe turning back isn't a valid option)? Ubisoft must solve the problem. It's shameful, disrespectful.
Day 8. No acknowledgement or plan forward from Ubisoft about this particular [censored] problem. Soon, they will start to encroach on class action territory. I mean seriously, you have one of the biggest game franchises with a much hyped and anticipated release and what? You don’t staff up to manage customer issues and bugs? Nobody should be waiting 8 days for acknowledgement of a game breaking experience and a path to resolution. Idiots apparently.
@omc_harvsorrow If they don't fix it by this weekend I'm just asking for my money back... Never again will I play a Ubisoft Game during the first MONTH, let alone YEAR.
I'm stuck with this game breaking bug on PS4 as all of you.
I requested a refund trough the support chat. It was rejected due to playtime being more than 2 hours.
Ubisoft is not abiding to EU law by denying a refund due to playtime being more than two hours. Under EU rules ", a trader must repair, replace, reduce the price or give you a refund if goods you bought turn out to be faulty or do not look or work as advertised. If you bought a product or a service online or outside of a shop (by telephone, mail order, from a door-to-door salesperson), you also have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification."
One thing is to release a buggy game, another is to be in total denial or acceptance of the problem.
I have stuck in this quest to "predigal prince". By the way... leaving customers unsupported and without some explanations with bug like this is a really [censored] move.
@fiercejeopardy I asked for a refund a week ago, they simply do not reply. No comments, no replies, not even "we are looking into this". It is a disaster.

Hi all. I am playing this game on on the PS4 and here is how I got mine to work. It is a bit lengthy and I did have to restart. Though maybe you won't have to. I deleted all the saves except the last save I made just before I got stauck. Then I uninstalled the game and reinstalled, started a new game, and only played the story mode. Got to "The Prodigal Prince" and saved it again. Then deleted all the auto saves again, then restarted the game with a continue. The quest then popped up with all the little blue markers. I was doing the quest wrong because I couldn't see the markers. And so far it seems to be working. I can't tell you what worked the best as there are too many variables but you could just try deleting all the auto saves except the newest one then uninstalling the game and reinstalling and push the continue button to see if that would work so you won't lose all your data and have to restart the game. And just becaue it worked for me, doesn't mean it will work for you. It is also possible I may come across this issue again. Thank you for all the info you all posted as it was very helpful.
@omc_harvsorrow bro u can catch up to where u are in 3h trust me I was so scarred of restarting but it is the only option they wont find a solution before March 2021. Do as u wish but ik ubi very well and this is ur only solution.
@Johnnys_Archi And risk to get stuck on yet another main quest again? That's what bothers me... Starting all over again to HOPE to encounter no other bugs, which seems impossible with this game right now...
Please everyone do as I said I know it is a hard decision to make because of the time lost in the game but when I decided to restart I had played for 8h and I had discovered every single meter of the map but now that I have restarted I did all the main quests until the one where we must leave norway but befor that I explored the map, as I knew every locations I found all the wealth and did most of the side quests in 2h I then left for England and now I am 10h in the game and I have discovered a good portion of the map in England, I have completed the whole Asgard mission and I have nearly finished my settlement. All that to say that u must restart all the time u have spent waiting for a solution that will never come u could have progressed more then ever.
Same situation, completed side quest flighted the Ragnar warrior and now I am stuck with Sigurd at the dock and unable to move forward
@guest-m99jjraj Can you confirm the mission you're currently on at the moment. Can you also share footage showing how you're not able to talk to anyone
They just answered my support ticket. My platform is PS4 and they sugested to take actions by the MSCONFIG, like cleaning the temp archives. OMG, it's just absurd, outrageous, ridiculous. Ubisoft shows absolutely no respect for it's consumers.

When following Sigurd from the dining hall to the training area to test the hidden blade, nothing happens. I am not prompted to attack any dummy. I have re-loaded well before this quest and still have the same result. I cannot progress in further in the story line. Very upsetting!!
Like everyone else, having the same issue; multiple reloads from multiple saves but either Sigurd never leaves the hall, or after the ledge assignation there are no further prompts. Regular PS4.

Thank you for continuing to report issues with this quest to us. The developers have tried hard to reproduce the issue, but so far have been unsuccessful. I would therefore like to ask that as many players as possible submit their save files to us (only possible for PS4 and PC players) so that they can take a closer look at affected saves and hopefully find the root cause of the problem. If on PC, it would also be helpful if you could submit your MSINFO and DXDIAG files, for us to conduct a thorough investigation into those as well.

I'm playing on Xbox One X. The quest A Prodigal Prince is still bugged. Sigurd just stands at the docks and says nothing. There is no cutscene and I can't progress the game. Have to start a new game. Reloading saves did not work for me.
