Where the hell is a fix for this? I have 9 hours into Norway and there is no chance that I restart. I don’t care who needs to work late or over the weekend, this is literally unacceptable. Fix this is refund us immediately, without question. We are not here to beta test your released game.

What have i found so far and that maybe related, according to the other answers:
1 - Mystery of the guy who wants to kill something: the wolf killed him and the icon remains. Nothing eles happens.
2 - The NPC from the comb mystery doesn't answer. Pressing the dialog button bugs ALL dialogs with any other NPC. Reloading the game solves (except for the comb lady, who remain mute).
3 - The prodigal prince (main mission): after the assassination training, following Sigurd is useless from the moment that he reaches the dock. Reloading, even to a point before the familiar subject main mission, is useless. Nothing seems to fix the problem.

During the prodigal Prince quest you train with the hidden blade, I don’t appear to be able to do anything. It says press R1 but nothing is happening?

Update on a fix?? 4 days now!

I had the same problems as all of you. I had done a few side quests and had improved several things. I managed to delete automatic backups and it allowed me to recover a backup before the small banquet where we can talk to several people. I took this save, I spoke only to the main character, Sigurd and the prince's quest was bug-free. If you can find a save before the banquet, DO NOT START AGAIN.

J'ai réussis a supprimé des sauvegarde automatique et cela m'a permis de récupérer une sauvegarde avant le petit banquet ou l'on peux parler a plusieurs personnes. J'ai repris cette sauvegarde, j'ai parlé seulement au personnage principal soit Sigurd et la quête du prince s'est faite sans bug. Si vous pouvez retrouvé un sauvegarde avant la banquet, NE RECOMMENCEZ PAS.

Days and still no patch, and who knows when, if. The thing is a lot of the mysteries are kind of linked to the main quest and doing other stuff before finishing Prodigal Son and (basically the whole beginning of the game before leaving Norway) , can and will probably break the game.

I decided to start over, after 10 hours running around just seeing broken quests. Did only main stuff until I was ready to leave Norway and now every mystery works as intended and never got stuck in the docks in Prodigal Son.

The game is great but I will never again buy an Ubisoft game at launch, much less pre order them

I am having the same issue. Tried reloading the game, picking different options during the conversations. I can’t get past this and I am now 5 hours in. Did a ton of side quests. This is the 3rd quest that has been buggy. First, was the warlock quest. Second, was the quest above Haervik Shipyard. And now this. Every year there are bugs. This is a first where I can’t progress. AWFUL

@ubi-swaggins has there been a fix for this. I am stuck in the same spot with almost 6 hours invested in the game.

Dont do side quests! It will break the quest.
Do only the main quest. when you past the quest,
you can do wealth.

DONT DO THE SIDE QUESTS!

Exactly the same issue, done all the side quests in the starting areas.

I’m having the same issue. Get the blade, go to training and the follow Sigurd to the docks and nothing happens. Broken and can’t do anything else now. I’m on Xbox One. I’ve tried all shenanigans with loading previous saves and even loading far back before I went to face the king. Nothing works. Prior to this mission, I did “Seer’s Soloace, but then I just went exploring. Cleared most of Norway basically. Got all the official wealth, did all the synchronizations, about 90% of the artifacts, and did some world events. The last thing I did was the “Rekindling” world event where the couple wants you to raid their house for them while they get it on. That too glitched and couldn’t be finished.

Once I walked through their door, they stopped talking and just sat on a bench. I destroyed their stuff and set the floor on fire, but nothing would proceed. It was then that I fast travelled back “home” and started the family matters > prodigal prince missions and got stuck on the dock.

safe to say that after wandering around and clearing all of Norway, I will not be restarting as I’ve done too much. So, unless patched, the game ends here for me. Too bad. I hope they patch it. Quite disappointed and right now wanting my money back.

Still an issue, 4 days later, going into the weekend with none working game...

Same for me , I tried to reload before the banquet , nothing change . the assassins don't talk at all and I'm stuck in the middle of training area....

@cutler04100 EDIT : I solved this issue , I erased my current save with a new one , I rushed into the main quest and it worked... but I lost 6 hours ..

I have the sam glitch on PC, it has now been 2 days since i have sent a message to Ubisoft and i still have no answer. I actually love the game but the fact that i cannot continue the story is very sad and i am very mad. I have now spent 8h in the game and i have done every single wealth research, Raid, map synchronisation (the eagle), artefact, mystery (and btw half of the mystery side quests are glitched oce you complete them nothing happens). I will wait as much time as it will be need because unless there is absolutly no other solution there is no way i am restarting to point 0 of the game. Ubisoft: you have realesed some great games but ooooo boy you guys need to work on your bugs. Like seriously, cant you try the game before realeasing it, players do not mind if you push the release date but they do mind if your game is completly destroyed by bugs. Please, i beg you find a frickin solution to this glitch, because for the first time of my life i am starting to regret spending 60euros in a game.

Any word on a patch? I am still stuck on the The Prodigal Prince at the dock (Reference my previous message in this thread). I was able to go to a previous save point and fast travel. With that I've been able to roam Rygjafylke, collecting wealth and side quests (mysteries).

With this, I've discovered many of the side quests are bugged and unable to be completed. The person will either stand still or the mission ends, with no XP or anything. Just stops and doesnt show as completed on the map.

I've had the same issue with the Fly Agaric in Rygjafylke. I complete the puzzle, but no xp is given and acts like I didnt compete it.

Hey, i was just like u b4 and i decided to restart, baisically im 5h in the new save and im already in england and i have well advanced. So restart do the main quests untill when you are asked to leave norwy with siguard and then explore the main wealths (weapons and carbon ingots) dont bother too much with mysteries. and then when you are done leave too england trust me i was scared of restarting but its actually okay. and its ubi soooo u wont have a solution b4 a long time. + you can skip through all the dialogues except the ones when ur a kid.
