Cant play, verify files or uninstall. PLEASE HELP!

I have played a few hours of the game an stuggled with crashes. I tried veryfying the files and stuff like that then as a last effort thougt maybe uninstalling it and reinstalling it would help. I tried to uninstall the game and got a prompt through Uplay saying that the files could not be detedcted and to try again, which I did. concluding that I could not uninstall the game. But when I try to launch it now it doesnt launch because I get a prompt saying "Unable to launch the game. Please check that it has been installed properly." It also asks "Have you moved your game and /or its files. If so select the folder where the game is now located." following the advice of the prompt I looked for the files on my computer but no search results come up.
I cannot play the game.
