Most likely pass on this game does not mean I will pass on it permanently..I still might get it. (If I didn't say that, some jackwad sees me post about me having the game would gun at me using this topic to start a problem with me)..You get what I mean. So I wanted to clear that up

I am honestly saying that you to the people who posted detailed information about flaws in the game. I have been doing my research the way I do it for a long time where the replies people leave, prove whether or not the complaint is legitimate.

My point is regardless if someone likes something or not, there is a serious difference between personal preference of use, and actual game play need to use. In order for a game to make sense for purchase, anything put into a game has force the player to use it, if the only reason for a player to use a system is determined by if the player FEELS like it but isn't necessary, then you just broke the game, putting systems and mechanics for use in the game, then replacing the player being forced to use it, with a player can choose to use it if they want, is ridiculous and undermines the integrity of that mechanic/system being in the game at all especially the ones hat are introduced to the player as it has some impact on the game when it really doesn't (Conquests in Odyssey are a prime example of what I'm talking about) Flashy and cool, portrayed as being needed, and the only real thing it does, is tricks the player into believing this section of the game HAS To be done and then enticing the player with something that gets them to WANT to do it).. Defending the stance of the player DOES NOT have to use something the game, that is built around to use, is somehow better than forced use, just strengthens my point.

I have learned, when a topic which outlines a useless section of a game, has a reply of I had no problems with it or it works great for me, is a red flag that the topic creator is correct. This has held true every time So i've learned to start paying attention to the replies being left towards complaint topics about game play itself. (This does not apply to crashes and graphical problems and that type of nonsense)

I don't really pay attention/get involved in the hype in a game. I do however check into a game After it's release to go by if what I see suits me and my play-style of what I like. A few things that catch my eye are things like combat, and or totally useless mechanics that I have grown a serious disdain for due to the systems having no explanation to their use, and having no point to them even being in the game at all. In other words, any game designer that puts a mechanic in a game that isn't explained at all, or has such vague pieces of information about it, it's the same as not explaining it. That brings me to this game.

I loved AC: Origin. Before that the only game in the series that was good was AC: Black Flag. Once I finished AC: Origin I grabbed Odyssey and started playing it, I actually didn't mind the game it wasn't bad in fact I still don't think it's a bad game. The first problem was recruiting, even though there was a slight explanation on HOW to do it, there was still no point in What recruiting was actually FOR, sure it mentioned something about crew mates but [censored] is that..there are no crew mates in Odyssey there is no boat screen, in fact there aren't even any boat battles you can manually trigger like you could in Black Flag. Black Flag's boating system and upgrading and things like that, actually had a point. WTH is that crap Odyssey. Conquests were another useless thing in Odyssey nothing changed in the game at all win or lose.

I played it for about 4 days upon release, and haven't touched it since

That brings me to this game.

    1. The combat is that of the Dynasty Warriors series. (For those that do not understand what I am talking about, go look up (Dynasty Warriors game play)
    2. After reading someone posting a comment about how useless the compass is, and seeing the reply someone put of it's great for them, totally ignoring the person's complaint about it. That made me realize that the compass in this game is about as useless as the compass in Fallout 4 and the interior maps in Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
    3. There are mechanics in this game that are totally useless, which means they will also have no explanation for their use or why they are in the game. I have been able to verify what people have been saying about this through live streams.

I bought Watch Dogs: Legion and found out that the game has been destroyed by allowing unique abilities to be shared globally across all Team members, which in turn cripples every system in the game. Now the game is just sit around and cheese play..nothing in it even has a purpose of use.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    1. We have the same combat mechanics like in the last two games.
    2. The compass is fine, no problems with it
    3. What mechanics? I haven't discovered any useless stuff in 30+ hrs. Everything is explained in the lexicon.

You saying everything is explained means your perception is all that matters and anyone saying otherwise you will say they are wrong.
My point stands by showing, you're taking your opinion and how YOU personally see things, as a method to discredit anyone th6at says something is not explained, you then use a bunch of people not having a problem as your justification to be correct about things being explained.

Gamer terminology of the word explained, has been weaponized to shoot down anyone criticizing the game designers for making incoherent statements that aren't inconsistent within the basic definition of what explained means..Gamers have been trying to subtly change the meanings of things for the past 10 years the n trying to use a mass group agreement to brute force that opinion and viewpoint as fact.

What I just said is how easy something is to understand is OPINION not fact, and a mass group agreement doesn't make what isn't explained correctly or at all, all of a sudden explained just because that group says so.

The real definition of what explained means, doesn't care about what an individual or group with the same viewpoint thinks.

@s_tanner It's definitely in need of patching as there's some blatantly obvious bugs which couldn't have gone unnoticed in the testing phase. No idea how it got through but it's still playable.

Site Won't let me edit past a certain time.

    Continued from above:

An example of this is a flashing dot on a computer screen. Gamers have tried to say and use the point of view of something flashing means it is supposed to be examined and clicked on when there is nothing say to do so, yet gamers will then also add in, that's how it's always been and ignoring a simple fact. unless there is a text message on the screen that outright says CLICK THIS FLASHING DOT, then you do nothing at all, something flashing, lit up, blinking or whatever means nothing without the actual onscreen text verifying that is what is supposed to happen.

Anyone that ignores a text message must be present saying what to do, is using opinion to brute force what is supposed to happen as fact, by saying the majority of people all click it..Which isn't relevant because without a text message to say CLICK IT, then saying it is supposed to be clicked is OPINION not fact. and that fact cannot be ignored to justify an opinion being brute forced onto this situation.

Your comment about the lexicon isn't valid UNLESS the players is informed with an onscreen text message, the information is in the LEXICON. And I will bet you there is no such message. Now that leads into people trying to use look in the menu under the keybinds...WRONG unless there is a text message on the screen that says so, then you cannot use look at the keybinds to argue as if that is a valid argument..

he bottom line is everything a gamer wants to use an an argument must be able to be backed up by factual in game onscreen text messages saying to do that exact thing but more so having a text message only goes so far, the text message also must include fully details steps explaining what to do once your arrive at those in game screens

Only have a text message saying to do something isn't enough, the instructions also must be present in text form as well.

The compass is fine, no problems with it

If the compass is in fact fine, then people wouldn't be posting it's useless for them.

Both are opinions which means neith statement is valid. Which menas since neiwther statement is factual that means there is a problem with ti simply because 2 people have a completely opposite view of it.

So I'm not taking what people said as the problem or not a problem, I'm taking the fact 2 people have a difference on a mechanic then that means there is a problem with the mechanic itself. This situation isn't some random how do I get by something, this is a problem because someone can use the mechanic and someone can't. And that means there is a problem with the mechanic istelf.. What the problem is doesn't matter, but to deny there even is a problem, means that perosn denying a problem and using OPINION to say there isn't one, is delusional.

@ehllfhire1 Your posts just sound like a way to bash the game to me. Fine don't buy it. Nobody really cares. Your loss. But don't think that yours is a general opinion on the game for one second.

@s_tanner that's a fair opinion my guy, and I totally understand it. But what you said about Watch Dogs: Legion isn't strictly true. Sure, there are some unique abilities that affect the whole team (shorter arrest/injury times, extra ETO etc.) But then there are some that are only unique to the one character. For example, I have a bare Knuckle fighter in my team and one of his unique perks is Glass Canon (deals extra damage, but receives extra damage as well) haven't got anyone else in my team with that perk.

My biggest drawback with the game is that you can only have 45 people in your team at anyone time

@beylous my biggest grievance is the Rune system. If I could select what Rune slots to put runes in, it'd be ideal, but as it stands now, I have 2 mythical items that have 3 rune slots, but I can't equip anything in them, because I don't have any rare runes to put in the top slot. So as it stands, I have to play through with inferior gear until it gets fixed.

Buy it in a few months, after it has been patched and improved, at a deep discount.

I’m casually playing it, and all I can really say is that I’m glad I got it for free through the AMD promotion. I’d be pretty [censored] off if I had paid for it. I’m incredibly thankful that cancelled my Xbox preorder.

I haven’t had too many bugs, but the game is as bland as vegetable lasagna.

@thw-ger the combat system is NOT i repeat 100% NOT like the combat system in Odyssey which was fluid and easy to use. This one is stupidly clunky in order to make the boss fight Dark Souls style combat.

@s_tanner Save your money for Immortals. My guess is that is going to be GOTY material and also the game that will save UBIsofts financial bum.

@styxee It looks to be as if they have sped up the combat to ridiculous levels making it look abnormal. If they slowed it down by say 2000 frames it might look and work well.
