Night time in-game is ridiculously too bright.

I hope this gets fixed because the night time in this game looks like a rainy afternoon instead of night. Give the players a reason to use the torch! If the devs won't do it, give the players mod support so we can fix it ourselves. How bright the night time is completely breaks immersion and I don't want to play it in the state it is in right now. Does anyone know if there's a config.ini or a specific file we can unpack to edit so we can fix it/change it to our liking?

@brandomanmods For that reason, I always meditate to day-time once it becomes night. I too would hope for darker nights, GRB realized this just recently, I would be nice if this team at Ubisoft did too.

@brandomanmods yeah I wish the nights were darker too. On my oled TV not only are the nights too bright but also washed out.
And I'd like to add that caves and basements are too bright too. Makes the torch useless imo.
Now I know ubi might have done that on purpose to improve accessibility and playability. I just wished there was an option for people like me that want proper immersion in an rpg. -
@sol3uk how come? Is your equipment/ TV properly setup/calibrated? HDR/SDR?

Okay so with HDR off contrast is much better. Doesn't make the nights super dark but it's definitely improved. Just sad to miss out on the HDR peak brightness though

@remmi_demmi Fully calibrated but I dont think the HDR works properly on LG monitors, looks washed out

This is the case for most modern games. They seem to be too afraid to inconvenience a player as to make them not be able to do whatever they want whenever they want. It's a shame.

While I would absolutely agree with this for just about any other game, specifically sims/survival/tactical games, I think the bright nights are great for this game. I like that caves and indoor areas seem very dark in places so that torches are needed, but I love the look of the nights and feel it's good for this type of game.

@detroitin2019 I absolutely agree. The nights are too short. It is nearly impossible to clear a larger camp within one night cyclus.
