Moved Cannot Synchronize on Asgard Tower - stuck on "Taking Root" mission

I cannot climb to the Asgard Tower Synchronization spot. Therefore i cannot pass the "Taking Root" mission in Asgard as i cannot reach the top of the tower... please help! My saves dont take me far enough back and im so far through i dont want to restart game
