There is no signpost in which to build their house and the plot the house is supposed to go has trees and such in the way.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@indiosbrav0s Yes, three others and I have had the same issue. Not sure if it's truly a bug or if they're settlers that must be recruited later. Probably a bug though knowing Ubisoft.

@glorioushawkboi i am having this exact issue now.

@valharr Same issue here; it seems to prevent upgrading settlement to level 6. Wonder if somewhere in the storyline these people arrive in the settlement and you can't build it beforehand.
    Playing on PC.

    Same here. PS4.
I hope it's not yet ANOTHER bug. Ubisoft are on a bad streak putting out rushed buggy games. First Legion and now Valhalla.

@marshtackie364 That is what i thought too. Might be the case though i feel as though I'm pretty far along in the game and still no new settlers.

@animuslover Basically every game Ubisoft releases, regardless of studio, has been buggy. Odyssey, The Division 1/2, Origins etc. However it is literally impossible for a game to be 100% bug free regardless of how much time and effort is spent on it and this release has been the least buggy i have ever seen from them so they are doing better at least.

    Same problem.

@glorioushawkboi I disagree with that. The above games you mentioned were nowhere near as broken as this. Literally, there's a bug around every corner forcing me to do restarts. I will never buy a Ubisoft game on day 1 again. Valhalla was the last straw.

@animuslover Sorry to hear about your experience however is not a shared one as i have only ran into 3 issues, two of them having an in-game workaround.

@Valharr @Ebonzone @marshtackie364 @AnimusLover It seems as though Marshtackie and I's suspicions may have been correct. There seems to be a mission in chapter 5 dealing with Hunwald in some way. I suppose we just weren't supposed to reach settlement level 5 so early.

@indiosbrav0s Same issue here. I reported this the day after launch with no response. It shows a marker when I use the raven but when I go to the location there is nothing but a few trees, a log and some deer. No board, nothing. I really hope they comes with a patch soon cause I am very far into the game and have been grinding to upgrade my settlement and now I am stuck.

@mothertucker001 Apparently there's a mission that has something to do with Hunwald in chapter 5, i haven't gotten there yet but perhaps you have?

@ebonzone Nice! Thanks for confirmation. Another person had that quest bugged and wasn't able to finish it at all though.

@glorioushawkboi not yet but when i do i will let you all know. i am pretty far into the game so far so it shouldn't take me much longer.

@ebonzone So at what point in the storyline does this build become available?

Like others, I was able to build the house after I progressed a bit further in the story. However, whether you get to build the house is based on a choice you make. Not sure if making another choice just delays it or makes it missable altogether.
