it's been two weeks i stopped playing valhalla since i had this bug, so sad to see a good game like this full of bugs, was so hype to this game now im like nah in 3 days there is some others things coming like cyberpunk

Hey everyone! I sincerely apologize for the frustration, disappointment, and inconvenience that has been caused by this bug in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. If you're having trouble with the "In a Strange Land" quest specifically due to not being able to talk to Randvi, please be advised that the development team is aware of this problem. They're actively investigating this further and updates should be posted here as they become available.

It's absolutely absurd that this game has been out for nearly a month and still has game breaking bugs like this. Where are the developers? Well I'll be moving on to Cyberpunk and probably never touch this or any Ubisoft games ever again. Nothing but buggy trash that never works.

Yep I just beat the game (spent well over 80 hours) and there is still no option to romance Randvi. Lameeeee. Idk how that hasn't been fixed yet, along with the Reda thing. It is insane.

Randvi romance is bugged. I chose "now is not the right time" on her Taken for Granted guest. The quest has since disappeared from the completed list and there is now no dialog option to romance her (it appeared only once when I spoke to her next and has also disappeared). I have since allied with all territories apart from one and the dialog is still not showing. Also, there are no chickens in the fowl and chicken farm after fully upgrading the building, the NPC puts chicken feed out for no chickens.

I usually try to be understanding when it comes to things such as this, but the fact that it is a month now from the release of the game, and so many bugs still remain unfixed is just shocking. At this rate it could be months until bugs such as this are fixed.

1.1.0 and this is still a problem. Is it really easier to fix a freak accident bug like a ship hitting a horse while mounting causing the horse to despawn than it is to fix a dialogue flag...?

Yep, can confirm this is still an issue in 1.1.0.
I just completed the quest, chose the "not the right time" option and after a reload the quest is missing in the completed quests and the romance option with Randvi isn't available anymore when talking to her in the longhouse.

Are we even shocked that this is not fixed. It would nice to be given an update on the status of this. Instead of adding in a Yule festival, maybe they should focus on fixing the game. If they are going to take this long to fix the game I wish I could just get a refund.

I am also experiencing the same bug on a Xbox Series X. Unable to progress the quest line for the Forge and the Flame. Unable to talk with Randvi or any of the other NPCs that have chat boxes over their heads. thank you.

I completed the "Taken for Granted" quest. When I returned, I interrupted Randvi when I returned from the tower, I didnt answer the "not right now" dialogue and reloaded a save file. The dialogue never became available again.

Does anyone know if this quest has been fixed yet? I haven't played this in a long time, and haven't seen if it has been fixed yet.

@weltenbruch2020 it is not gone, once you complete the glowecetshire (I butchered that i know) you talk to Gunnar at the forge in ravensthorpe and there will be a dialogue to wed him and his wife after completing that randvi will start a dialogue where you can romance her

Wow, its been awhile since ive checked in and this game still hasnt had any major updates to fix issues. Ubisoft i have absolutly no faith you guys anymore. Havent put out a update since 12/19/2020 and that was to add the yule festival to a broken game way to go. What a [censored] joke. Never buying one of your games again its been nothing but disappointment the last 4 games Ive owned.

Thought I should say as well that I picked "I care for you as a friend" and then when got to the settlement I quicked saved and talked to her and then I wanted to see what would happen if I picked I have feelings for you or whatever it was then I was like I don't want to do this and tried to go back to my quick save but now the quest is gone and I don't know what has happened or what my outcome is

In the past, I have really liked the AC games. My fiancee and I were both enjoying this one the best. Especially, after adding so many more options, like fishing and hunting for coin. However, we both decided to wait to romance Randvi until it was "safe", after spoiler Although, even after learning that, the option to romance her was still not available.
Almost 100+ hours and it wasn't until after spoiler that it did finally. Sure, the scenes between them were beautifully written but this was a horrible cheap "fix"; if you could even call it that, for an issue that Ubisoft has been aware of for months! Having to almost finish a game entirely before you receive the option to romance such a well-liked love interest!!?? Especially when patches had already addressed miniscule issues, yet still no action has been taken to fix such a colossal mistake within a pivotal storyline!!!???? Literally, a game-breaking flaw for so many, including myself.
As a company, you are aware of this and have done nothing to resolve this. You have, however, continued to sell a broken game and tarnish whatever reputation you had as game developers. I strongly recommend you do not rush making another AC in the future. Instead use that time to make a quality product for your costumers, not garbage.
For anyone with eyes dead set on Randvi, who are waiting it out and playing it safe? Don't. You will have to conquer the entire map before making that happen. It's a waste of time. Romance someone else or call it quits. Personally, AC:V will be the last AC I play. Truly sad, because it had potential to be so much more.

Not exactly the same problem , but I did the "taken for granted" quest then I accepted the drunkard contract from thousand eyes and the problem is I killed the drunkard( I'm assuming) when I cleared out the camp of robbers outside of grantebridge during the 'taken for granted' quest , so now completing the contact is impossible seeing as I already killed him( I'm assuming because the camp he's supposed to be at I just killed everyone and cleared out during previous quest)!
