I've merged together a few threads regarding being unable to complete the "Last Flight of the Gyldan Sparrow" mystery together into a single thread. This allows us to keep all updates and information regarding the investigation in one place. I apologise if any ongoing discussions have been disrupted by this merger.

Thanks for taking the time to share your reports and experiences within the forum. The development team has been made aware of this issue, and are currently investigating further. I've gone through this thread and passed on all the reports made, as well as videos shared, to the development team so they can take a closer look at these.

If you're still unable to complete this quest following TU 1.1.2, please could you send a video showing this in-game? We can then pass these along to the development team as past of the investigation.

I can see that some of you have reported that the NPC will return to the area after some time. They may not be at the exact location, but should be found around the docks. Would you be able to check if the NPC is in the surrounding area and can be interacted here, if you haven't already?

Would you be able to send us a video that shows that you're unable to interact with the NPC, and that the mystery hasn't been marked as completed on your map? We can then pass this along to the development team as part of the investigation.

Thanks for sending a video, @neopieter! Thanks for providing me with additional information on what steps you have tried in-game as well. As players seem to be having differing experiences with this mystery (such as being unable to interact with the NPC, or the NPC disappearing from the area entirely), this will help the development team to better understand your own situation. I've passed this report along to them so they can take a closer look.

I apologise for the delayed response. I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered trouble in "Last Flight of the Gyldan Sparrow." The development team is still investigating this issue further. I've passed on your report so the team can take a closer look. If you're able to provide us with any video footage that shows you're unable to interact with any of the NPCs in the world event area, and that the mystery hasn't completed, this would be very helpful.

Hi @janosch_sagte, this issue is currently being looked into further by our team. To help with their investigation, could you confirm if your lastest save files are uploaded to the Cloud (your save slot will have a cloud icon)? This will let the game team have access to your saved file for their research.

I'd like to reach out to you all with an update. I'm happy to announce that the development team intend to deploy a fix for "Last Flight of the Gyldan Sparrow" in TU 1.2.2. This update will be deployed 15 June, 2021 at 2 PM CEST / 8 AM ET.
 
If you are still encountering issues with "Last Flight of the Gyldan Sparrow" following TU 1.2.2, please don't hesitate to update this thread so we can take a closer look. Please include a video that shows the following:

• You have the latest Title Update installed on your platform. You can view this information in the opening game menu in the bottom right-hand corner.
• That the issue continues to persists in-game following this update.

 
Additionally, please ensure that you have an up-to-date save uploaded to the cloud. We can then pass these reports to the development team for further investigation.
