You guys... I fixed it. I literally had to reset windows. But I fixed it. At least for now. Knock on wood.

I had the same problem, i fixed it by going to the advanced setting inside the ubi connect on the valhalla game and rightclicking the .exe file and running it as administrator. need to do that all the time since i cant see a option to make it run as a administrator always. hope this fixes it for you guys!

@emmaj95 I'm in the process of doing that now. Thankfully, I have unlimited bandwidth. I'm doing a clean install again, just storing what I want to keep on my local storage hard drive. I have Acronis True Image, so I will be making a backup when I get everything back up and where I want it to be.

Nothing like starting over to play a new game🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'll probably get everything back to the way I like it before Ubisoft gets back to me anyway😜

@chefster_ it didn't worked before when you just rightclicked the .exe and run as administrator???

I have tried numerous times to run the .exe as Administrator. Drastic crashes call for drastic measures. RESET😜😜😜

@beaudoinbros I can’t say Im happy with the solution but I’m relieved that I can finally play the game. For what its worth— I have Ubi Connect on the C drive and Valhalla on my separate NVME G: drive.

@emmaj95 Glad you can finally play it. I usually don't like doing a major reset, but Edge was acting a little wonky on me sometimes also, so if you're gonna do something, might as well go all the way in🤣

Have the same problem, tried literally everything suggested by ubi, and what you can find in all ACV troubleshooting guides.
Did a Win10 Reset, after that even a Win10 clean install with complete disk wipe.
Whats also strage, after every failed launch ubisoft connect dowloads 800 MB - 3 GB to "fix" ACV when I verify the game.
Acknowledgement would be nice ubisoft. AND A FIX!
(i7 3770k, GTX 1070, 16GB Ram), Windows on SSD C:, Game on SSD D:, did also try installing on C:, though.

try to create a virtual hard disk in C :
it’s easy to do (search on internet, in two minutes you will do it) and install the game in it.

I had the same problem. The game didn’t start (stop on the logo of the game).

I did it and it’s started correctly. Try

Updated drivers, clean windows install, vc++ redistributable, moved from second ssd to system ssd and back, "fix" with soundfiles and symlinks, Run as Admin (ubconnect and/or ACV)
Have no issues with other games whatsoever, EXCEPT Watch Dogs Legion, which does also just not launch. Games from steam that launch via ubisoft (Anno 1800) run fine. Also every other game I tried except these two.
From my perspective its absolute save to say its ubisoft turn to FIX THE PROBLEM, its not us.

@andrepisa89 I replied to myself to list the things I tried. I think you mean the fix that can be found on the internet for past AC games, that also seems to fix the "infinite splash screen" in ACV? That the soundfiles are stored on the system drive and linked to the game directory. Or the whole game directory can be linked to C:, as you suggested. I tried the symlink "fix" for the soundfiles, and I moved the whole game to C. Did not help.
My problem is not a "infinite splash screen", but the "Oh no, it crashed!" error though.

    @lavayo

no no. I tried everything you said, but nothing has changed. The only things that helped me is to create a VHD in C : (on internet you can find the instructions to do it, it’s very easy).

then I’ve installed the game in the VHD and it starts correctly.

so, Who has the problem of blockage on the symbol of the game must try this. Maybe it works with other starting problems too

@kewin20 No that didnt work. i needed to open the game file in the ubi connect and right click the .exe . so not your .exe on your desktop

Heyy im back! I have no idea why, but mine just started working again. Im so confused.
Only thing i could even think i did, was i turned off my Process Lasso (controls CPU roles and stuff). But then i also turned it back on to see if it would repeat the issue, and it didnt.
SOoOOOOOOOOO i have no idea what happened lol

YAHOO, it works!!!!! All I had to do was re-install Windows 10 Pro😜 Oh well, better than having 80 bucks + tax down the drain. For the life of me I can't figure out why Valhalla wouldn't launch❓ Before, my Windows 10 Pro was updated to the 20H2 version and Valhalla wouldn't launch, now AFTER re-installing Windows and completely updated to the 20H2 version, it WORKS🙄🙄🙄

I'm just happy. Now to get everything else installed.

So peeps, if you're still having crashes at launch, and feel somewhat comfortable re-installing Windows...DO IT! I doubt if Ubisoft will ever help anyone out, I still haven't received an email about my support ticket. Yeah Ubisoft...thanks for nothing🙄
