Hi guys, I just got the game on Uplay, but can't start it at all. I get the splash screen and then the game crashes 2 seconds after with this very helpfull error:
I'm running Ryzen 1800x, 32 GBs Gskill FlareX ram, 2080 TI GPU. I've updated to the latest nvidia drivers 457.30 with a clean install, installed the latest VC++ redistributable version (it's newer than the one the game installs, but neither version works). Tried to remove overclocking as some people suggested that online, but it didn't work.
I verified the game files and everything was "fine". Saw that people were reporting problem with previous assassin's creed games (Origins, Odysey), where the games are not on the main(system) drive, or on an SSD, tried to move the files around nothing helped. I've not had problems with other Ubisoft titles on this machine (to be honest I don't think i've had problems with any games), i have wildlands and breakpoint (i think this one is on the same engine as Valhalla). Tried all the standard compatilbility options (low color depth, run as admin etc.)
Has anyone had this problem and can suggest a possible solution?
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@trolsopol Have the same problem. Tried all of the above. I'm out of ideas and Ubisoft need to release a quick fix asap! Extremely frustrating paying for a game and it won't even start!
Forgot to mention that i already have a support request submitted on Tuesday - 13186910, but have had no updates yet. Can someone at ubisoft look into this ?!? @ubi-unicorn @Ubi-Baron @Ubi-Fractal @Ubi-Gaidheal @Ubi-Kay @Ubi-Litten @Ubi-Mercury @Ubi-Milky @Ubi-Mullac @Ubi-Pingu
Same here, I've tried every solution on every thread on this forum and still nothing works. Sucks that I got the $200 collectors edition of a game I can't even play. My PC is brand new as of this summer too so no reason that it shouldn't run smoothly. Really really upsetting.
Posting an update to keep this thread alive. Still no resolution found for this bug, still no update on my ticket.
@trolsopol just let us know bud cause I'm out of ideas but good to know not the only one with this problem
@trolsopol 12 hours later still nothing.

any of you guys able to help ?
@trolsopol yup. Since the second the game launched. I have been stuck on splash screen. Nothing works for me either.... and I paid for the ultimate edition. I'm never paying for another pre order again after this. Not from ubisoft. Especially since ubisoft keeps basically telling people it's a problem on your end, not theirs. Thing is, it's the only game I have that doesn't work. So there's that.
@rogue-reaper13 At least you're getting a response. I've been posting stuff everywhere and not even a "hi" back. I'll be fine with a refund. but no response even.
Just spoke with support, tried a bunch of other stuff and some that I had already tried none worked. They said it's going to be escalated to a higher level support team member and should be an update within a week... Now we wait again. At least i spoke to someone finally.
@crazydonkey88 Lol, noo they will update my ticket, with something, but it's not certain when the actual fix will be done.
Yay can't wait to wait to play something i payed for just awesome thanks for the update tho your faster then they are lol
stuck on logo when i lunch the game...i try everting and still not working pls help
@tonyvida we're all there buddy, waiting on Ubisoft to do anything about it. So far when i talked to them i they asked me to try things that are already submitted in this forum and none helped. The only thing they suggested that i didn't see in the forum was to create a brand new Local account with admin permissions and try to start the game from that, but that didn't work either. So for now we wait. I've already spoken to them that i would like to have a refund but it looks like it takes ages for that as well, so there might be a fix before i get my money back. If that is the case i might cancel my refund request.
@crazydonkey88 I have already done this. usually do it every second Tuesday of the month, that's when Microsoft release their monthly security updates. I'm actually wondering if this is maybe caused by a dodgy windows update. For instance I have the 20H2 feature update, not sure if it's stable, but it hasn't caused anything else to have issues, so i'm more inclined to think it's ubisoft's fault.
