"No Longer Detected" Screen Effect Keeps Happening Every 2 Seconds

I'm exploring various regions in Norway, and every so often I'll come near a group of bears, wolves, etc. Sometimes I just want to poke around the area without engaging in combat; however, when I do this, I get the zoom-blur screen effect + sound that happens when the game is telling you you're no longer detected by anything, and it happens repeatedly every other second. I understand that there are enemies nearby, and I don't need an annoying visual + audio effect to repeatedly bombard me with reminders within these areas. I've combed through all the gameplay & interface settings, and can't seem to find a way to disable this (it's not tied to the enemy detection setting, apparently). Is it possible to do so, or do I just either have to engage in combat and kill everything every single time, or try to ignore the incessant repeated effect?
I'm running the game on PC (in case there's some sort of ini tweak or something for this), and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! -

Regretfully there is no way to disable this. We've passed this feedback on to the game team though
