So far I am loving the game and enjoying exploring the new world. Only persistent problem I have had is using the horn to call for my longship. I have tried several various locations and distances from the water and ship with no luck. Hopefully this is fixed soon. It is not going to keep me from playing but it is annoying that such a bug exists upon release.

Same problem for me. Tried everything.
Like you, it's not destroying the game for me either, but it's quite annoying to want to travel north of where you are, but you have to go back 1500 meters to get the boat.
Also, the horn sound seems to be 700% volume of the rest of the game, which is very annoying lol.

Edit: Okay so for some reason, Limiting the game to 30 FPS fixed this problem lol. It even worked a few times after i removed the limit, but it's unreliable.

Same here. Right now this button activate very nice animation of Eivor play on horn. With no effect whatsoever, but Eivor playing on horn is nice.

Limiting to 30 fps does not look like good trade for having longship summoned...

You can hit J directly, you blow the horn and nothing comes of it. Going the LONG way about it and hitting G than selecting ' call longboat (J) ' their the longboat comes.

Fix it so hitting J directly brings the longboat.

@melanpython just want to confirm that limiting the game to 30fps worked... very strange.

@overheadpuma06 on PC? Are you using the hold J to summon it?
If so, try to hold G and go to call longship, that always works for me

@czelious I tried both only worked after changing it to limit 30fps

@czelious Yeah, I am on PC. J plays the animation where he blows the horn but nothing happens. I have not tried G but I'll give it a try. Yeah the 30 fps trade is not worth it. I am averaging 96. I usually will just fast travel to the nearest dock so my longship naturally appears.

Using the G key to call the Longboat it states ability missing. If I use my game pad to call up the longboat it says the same thing. Seems calling the longboat works for some and others it does not.

Using the G key if using my keyboard to call the longship it states ability missing. I can plug in my game pad and try calling the londship and it says the same thing ability missing. I have to use my gamepad to fish. Using my keyboard and pressing the N key will not work. Guess my calling longships ability took off to Valhalla. Can use the horn though.

Still very much a bug in Norway. Seldom, if ever, manage to summon a longship with the horn. Tried both directly and through the menu.

Sorry for late reply. This is on PC. It affects both Norway and England. Bug is very consistent with few or no exceptions.

Hi again. It's working, I'm pretty sure I kept on confusing the horn action for raids and for calling longship. Probably would have been a better design to make the horn work for both to avoid confusion. But completely my bad and I apologize for wasting your time (but I'm impressed by custom service's eagerness to assist). Thanks!
