I have requirements to play games at the present high.

I'm having the following problem, as I play the game for 15 minutes to 1 hour it freezes out of nowhere but the ambient sound is still there since the release, does anyone have the same? I can only exit the game by closing it through the task manager.

I've done everything, updated to the latest drivers, I have requirements to play at the top, this game is on an SSD and the operating system on the separate M.2 of 120 gb

Yes -- this also happens for me. The game ran flawlessly through the Norway intro, but now I'm in England I get 20 minutes to an hour before it freezes -- although it still plays sound and is still "running" according to Task Manager.

@bendelaboombr 3900X RTX 2070S U+ subscription. Mine seems to freeze instantly when I go to the skill screen. The sound keeps playing task manager says its running but its not registering FPS. Never recovers. I have recommended settings and ran GPU at base clock etc but no good. I have made it back to my home village and I cannot complete Family matters because of all the freezes.

@bendelaboombr Tap the windows key, it will unfreeze. Works for me. Also play in borderless mode.

Anyone still facing this issue, downgrade your drivers to 442.59. Worked for me. No more crashes/freezes.

Not sure if it completely fixed it, but I tried following the steps in this video

Just went through 3 freezes within 30min of trying to play. Going to give this a try.

Got about 20min of gametime and then crashed to desktop.

@jutzukan Alright, so today, my game ran okay for maybe 30 minutes before freezing again. I think I'm done trying to fix it myself and I'll just wait for Ubisoft to patch it...

I tried everything they sent me but nothing changed, that on 11/14/2020

Having the exact same issue. Went through probably 15 plus items with support to try and fix but nothing is working. I played through Norway with 0 issues then I make it to England and it freezes but with sound. I get no more than 10-15 minutes of gameplay before a freeze occurs.

the same here, I already did everything you did.
I already formatted the computer and it didn't work.
I believe it is not problematic on the computer since other games are working correctly.
the only thing I haven't tried yet is to use a much older nvidia video driver to see it.

@bendelaboombr It solved for myself. I haven't crashed once since I downgraded drivers. Been having a smooth and stable experience.

Literally play in 20 minute bursts. Running Ryzen 5, 1070Ti, and 32GB of RAM with a fresh Windows Install. If you look at reddit, hundreds of others are also having continual crashes or freezing as well.

Who signed off on the QA of this?

I've literally tried every bloody thing on the internet. And the worst part still, is when it does this it doesn't generate a crash dump. Currently running on the lowest graphics settings, keyboard and mouse, most updated drviers, AND a brand new Windows 10 install with nothing else installed.

I know QA has a tough job, but to me its insane that this was even approved without testing it on several "generic" builds instead of focusing entirely on consoles. What a pile of rubbish.

Same issue for me i was worried my new gpu had issue at some point but for what i read it's definitely the game! Ubisoft do something! I played 30h without issues and now it's impossible to play!

updating case, so far 18/11/2020 still continues to freeze the game, yesterday to my delight the game ran for a total of 6 hours in freeze, but today it is freezing every 10 minutes. I already did everything they told me but it doesn't work, waiting for an update by ubsoft
