Locked Solved [RESOLVED] "Man's Best Friend" ability not unlocked after completing "A Little Problem" | POST HERE

Completed the quest, got back to the town and got the popup of completing quest. However I have now learned you are supposed to get a ability from this quest which I did not. Watched this video
and I never saw that ability popup.

Only idea I have is that I walked too far away just as the final dialogue of the quest triggered or something....
Now Eivor just greets the wolf and the children come up to me and then go back to the Longhouse when I travel to the settlement.

Finished the quest shown in this video

Not sure if it's a side effect but every time I now enter the settlement the three kids come running up to me, no prompts on them. Then after a few seconds they run off to the side of the longhouse standing in a circle next to each. The wolf is just pacing around in the bedroom. -
I realized it too late, thinking there was more parts to the quest and continued playing for a bit.
When checking the internet, it turned out I should've gotten the ability when that quest ended.
I don't have any backup saves from that many hours back.
The kids and the wolf just walk around town. -

i Have the same problems some one find a solution?
I finish the mission, and dont have the ablity there.. the wolf is close to my bed what i need to do? -
So there's another book with this same ability, I went and tried to pick it up and that gave me level 1... I reverted that action though for now. As it stands I can only get 1/2 of this ability with what I know now.
Need a retroactive fix to give the ability if it's missing and the quest is done or NG+ -

@guest-fjhosk2f I have the same issue, no idea what I did wrong because I watched a video of someone getting it and I remember the dialogue playing out and all....

Cannot get the mans best friend ability. For some reason the mission mans best friend was unlocked at settlement tier 3 and not 4. After completing it, I did not recieve the ability. The quest then disappeared but it was not on my completed quests list.

So I did the berserker missions and baowolf mission did not get wolf mount or any of the berserker items also I did the mission where you get the wolf attack skill that sends out a white wolf to take down an enemy I finished that mission and did not get the skill what do I do restart the game?

I've had the same issue! progressed 5hrs more on the game really don't want to go that far back!

@chrispeenutz Yeah I would have had to drop over 4 hours of progress so I just went on..... worst case scenario, stuck with 1/2 for the rest of time on that skill. Sadly it's like one of the few bow skills I would care about.
