@frailunicorn I hear you there....just lost all of my oxfordshire progress....had it almost complete

t happened to me, I did so much and did actually a lot of stuff within about 8 hours and I feel so discouraged to play now



I lost 12 hours of play today. Two alliance missions done and all the exploration lost after a crash. Apparently auto-save doesn't work. I kept seeing the auto save animation but it was a lie. I honestly don't wanna play anymore after seeing all my exploration feats literally disappear before my eyes.

@vasaladog I feel you... I was so angry and yesterday. But then I started it again and rushed it to the same position. From now on I'm using only manual save. I think Ubi will be able to fix this Quickly but I doubt they'll be able to recover these saves. My yesterday mood was like: F this. I'mma break it or sell it. Glitchy af. But then I realized that anger won't solve it. So I started again and I'm at the same position. I just hope it won't happen again.

Yeah I had this happen today. Thankfully I only lost two hours of progress. I have learned really fast to manually save in this game.

@nathaniel826 Hey there, I'm sorry to hear this! When you try to load a save, are you not seeing anything at all? If you have your Ubisoft account linked, have you ever uploaded a save to the cloud?

Hey there! I'm really sorry that you have lost so much progress. The game autosaves quite often so that is a little odd. If you cannot see any option to load a later save then I'm afraid it may be lost. This shouldn't really occur, and remember you can quicksave via the torch/horn/crew menu. Your save should also be synchronized via the cloud.

Keep an eye on things! If this does happen again please let us know.

@kfnnnpa On xbox one x I don't know what happened i played longer than my girlfriend she is playing as female and me as male I overwrite manual save my two previous manual saves everytime and my girlfriend does the same for her manual saves but today in the morning she went to play and her manual save wasn't there and instead I had 3 manual saves and she had one that too her back 2 or 3 hours of gameplay, I I don't understand I look in the options to see if i can turn off autosaves but i see nothing there.

xbox one x here, my girlfriend did manual save and I did my own manual save but when she went to play today only my manual save was there and she only had autosaves from 2 or 3 hours ago... also if the save system was the same as odyssey it would be easier, hard to tell what save is mine and what save is hers just by the hours played and i tried to see if i can find autosave in the options to turn it on or off or make autosaves more frequent but couldn't find it there...

also somtimes try to load my game but i end up loading my girlfriends and same for her...

Hello Ubisoft support team,

I played the game for roughly 8hours until I reached England. I decided to start a new character with the more immersive difficulty settings to see if I enjoy the game more like this. About 3 hours in, I took extra care to create a new safe and not to overwrite my initial save game. After the new manual safe, I pressed "Exit to Desktop". Unfortunately, I just found out that my initial save game is comlpetely gone now.
Hence my question: is this related to the issue mentioned in the Known Issues [Updated Nov 11] thread; "The cloud saves disappear when quitting to Title Screen at least two times per session."
Is there any way to get access to my initial save game? I would really like to be able to continue my initial game.

I lost my progress for the first hour in England.
The game deleted my Quicksaves and Manual Saves.
So Id be careful thinking of that as a solution.

@ubi-spud Today I start another game, having previously uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and after playing about 3 hours and I have lost an hour of play because neither the autosave works correctly nor the one saved in the cloud, and when trying to save manually the game, the save does not work anywhere near as it worked in Odyssey or Origins, it is much worse. I hope this is momentary and gets patched, because right now the only thing that makes me want to do is uninstall your game.

I lost 5 hours. What was interesting was that taking shrooms in the game initiated it. My old Xbox one couldn’t handle the trippy graphics. Saw the save thing but it’s didn’t do anything. I always leave my game open but from now on I’m going to quit it when I’m done.

@dacia_and_gauls Same! Absolutely same happened to me. In England but idk if it was after one hour there.

I loaded my second save as the game crashed for the 10th time in 2 days just to manually save it and then I tried opening my main save and after 4 unsuccessful attempts it deleted the save and I made quite a substantial amount of progress can I get it back? If not I want a refund

Same thing just happened to me. 5 hours of progress gone. On PC though

@frailunicorn Same thing happened to me. Lost 14+ hours and all my helix credits aswell.

@trenasaurus Ugh. It just isn't acceptable. Sure we have time due to covid but its just disheartening. I hope your helix credits at least have some solution.

@frailunicorn I understand where you're coming from. I want to jump back in I just don't want to be disappointed again if the save fails. It's a tough call.
