There is nothing I can do to get my progress back, its literally all gone, I need help with this.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hi Vikings!
After thorough investigation, the development team is unable to provide a solution for the reported issues. When assessing the complexity of the issue and number of players affected, the team had to prioritize issues that had a comparatively higher impact.
With Post-Launch support for Assassin's Creed Valhalla coming to an end, we will be unable to roll out a fix for this issue. If you wish to discuss further with our team, please open a case on our support website.
We will now lock this thread.
It wont let me load a save or play from continue. It says it cant connect to ubisoft servers or something yet i am connected to ubisoft. I have to start a new game to play for some reason.
@omgilovesteak You are killin me Ubisoft.... I cant load save games again after restart a whole new game. I have lost all day's progress.... Besides the other issues i have started a thread about. What in the world!!
My progresion does not saving...and i have to start from beginning whenever i start the game
After manual save of two seperate games, it is impossible to access the first saved one. They are both shown as 'manual save 1' and 'manual save 2' in the 'Load Game' screen, but they both seem to be pointing to the later savedgame.
Far from happy to say the least, Have been rather enjoying the game that is up until now where I have tried to make manual overwrite save to jump off the game for awhile where it stayed in a infinite loop of saving state, had to force close with end task, figured no big deal I should have a auto save from at-least the last complete task, but nope the bug has effected my auto saving aswell little did I know from 6 hrs back of game play.
So the game froze on my new xbox Series X so I cancelled out of the game. Now I've lost two days worth of game play. The only saved data remaining is from 9 minutes into the game. I was the noob who spent $50 on helix credit for new skins and now lost it all!
Anyone have any data recovery methods ?
So I was playing a long stretch. Got the thistle for a lady and went in a dream. During this I am in a battle and force awaken out of the dream (the level was too high)... the game boots me out and when I return it’s to a save point 7 hours ago, where entering the dream above is not even an option anymore. I just tested those chosen save point and re-raided something and it didn’t “auto save” that action. So really I’m stuck in a loop. I can play straight and never close the game or else it forces me back to the save point.
All my saves have been replaced with my first manual save during the end of one of the first missions in Norway. The saves are dated from the times I have played all the way to December 2019. I have lost a lot of progress and would like to get this fixed. I worry that if I restart from the beginning again that the same issue would happen and this game would be a waste of time and money. Which would be very disappointing as this game was the one I was most excited for, and have been looking forward to playing it since I first found out.
Please help!
Hi, Yesterday, after playing AC Valhalla on PC for about 8 hours, I noticed that the photos of the people disappeared from the map, but I figured it was a small bug. I had internet, I was saving with autosave and fast save. Today, when I turn on the pc and start playing, it appears to me that I have only played an hour and a half and the entire map of Norway undiscovered, without having done anything except two initial missions.
Is there a way to get the gameplay back? Or if not, can I trust it to play again and it won't happen to me again? If I could be the first option, I would appreciate it a lot since it has discouraged me a lot to see this like this and have to do everything again.
So my save data gets corrupted because the Ubisoft connection drops and you set me back 8 hours that’s annoying but to do it twice? I drop 120 dollars on this and you’re telling me I lose 16 hours of gameplay to data corruption? Do you understand how painstaking that is? Genuinely upset I even came back and made up for the lost time to lose it again in the exact same manner.
@rottentoxin same thing happened to me went back did it again lost it again. Complete waste of 16 hours. Dropped 120 waited till midnight and now I can’t even progress.
put 8 hours into this for it to tell me my save was corrupted revert me back to an auto save 8 hours prior. Came back and made back the lost time for it to do the same thing. I’m glad I paid 120 dollars to not be able to progress in your game unless I were to never shut off the console.
Pls help. I died and when i loaded back in i am landing on the map upside down and falling into the sky. I tryed multiple saves all the same and restarted the game and ps. also lost hours of game play saves from yesterday. Is anyone haveing this problem. Or has any ideas.
The title says it all, I've lost 2 hours of gameplay. If this happens again I'm going to be more frustrated as I don't want to repeat 2 hours of gameplay. I think it started when it said something like "AC Servers couldn't connect"... When I tried saving the game it was forever in the "Saving" screen and I had to shut my game down.
I was playing AC Valhalla on my Xbox One S and my progress I made in last 12 hours just disappeared. No save, nothing. Last save is 12 hours old. The more actual ones just disappeared. I'm f depressed...
What didn't help:
Restarting the game/console
"Continue" gets me to the 12 hours old position.
"Load save" displays only 12+ hours old positions.
@guest-mqlhujo4 Hi. I have similar problem. I lost my 12 hours long progress. All actual saves gone.
Indeed, it would be useful if saved games were more easily identified as they were in AC Odyssey. There it showed difficulty level and quest. I and my two teenaged daughters play on a PC and it was easy to keep track of each of our saved games with numbered manual saves.
Now, in AC Valhalla, a lot of the specificity/resolution of the file details is lost and there are multiple versions of the same numbered saved games (e.g. 1, 2, etc.). The easiest way to track if by hours played, but even that is not a reliable metric as it rapidly changes and one user can overtake another.
Ubisoft, please make it easier to keep track of different saved games.
@guest-mqlhujo4
I've just found myself having the same problem, 15 hours of gameplay down the drain. I've tried rebooting the game and the console (Xbox One). I think the only option left is to uninstall and reinstall but with my rubbish wifi that's going to take hours, I'll give an update in about 12 hours or so to let you know if it has worked or not.
literally just happened to me, I did so much and did actually a lot of stuff within about 8 hours and I feel so discouraged to play now
