The new patch 1.4.1.2 slightly improved the freeze problem, but not completely. They are now slightly less noticeable, but they still continue to be seen in the game (during a quick save or autosave; about 5 seconds after the Ubisoft Connect overlay is closed; and at the moment the quest is completed). Also, the "guaranteed kill with a hidden blade" option is still disabled after every restart of the game. Let me remind you that all these problems appeared after the patch with the addition of a crossover with Odyssey.
For those who's having issues with crashes in AC Valhalla, I've tried to add TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay in registry and for the last 2 days I've no crash (pre and post TU update). And seems my gpu temp and usage are lower than before.
But bear in mind, I did checked on Windows Event Viewer post-crash, there's always a nvlddmkm.sys error. If you encounter same error, you can give it a try, please google on how to do it. If it becomes worse than before, you can just remove the entries from registry.
Additional info: I've tried to disable HAGS (Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduler) without adding TdrDelay, and I still got crash with a nvlddmkm.sys error.
@satrincha Hi Bro, check your Windows Event Viewer, see if there's any nvlddmkm.sys error. If there is, you can try my solution to add TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay in registry. It did solved my AC Valhalla crashes (for the past 2 days, pre and post TU update). Google on how to do it, it's too long to explain here.
Same with you, I just bought the game like 3-4 weeks back. The first week was fine, and all of a sudden, these crashes start happening randomly. Been scratching my head up and down for these issue. No matter what I did to troubleshoot, it just seems to prolong the interval for the crashes. And what I noticed, once you got crashed, restarting your PC will reset the interval. If you never restart, it will just happens in 1-10 minutes time after you login to the game.
@longliverng Do you understand that no one will do this, because Valhalla is onlt one game with this crash issue?
I spend in Odyssey 90+ hours and got one crash. BTW, the game is much more better and fan then Valhalla!
Hello there ! My game always crash after 30min-1h in England specificaly when the adaptative VSync is on... Turned on VSync and no more random crashes so far. Don't know if it will help someone.
This game is a real buggy mess, happy to bought it 20€
I don't know what to do anymore

All updated drivers, game file check, low-medium graphics
My PC

Isle of Skye was pretty stable. Came back to England 5 crashes in last 2 hours.
Just reached Jorvik.
Crashed within 15 seconds after entering city- have not been able to keep the game going for more than 2 minutes then it is CTD.
Now I can keep the game alive by using quick travel, but remaining in once area for two minutes and it is CTD.
Absolutely lovely- great job on the new patch
After the new update my games have been crashing far more frequently.
Just had 2 crashes in the last hour. Before the update I only experienced 1 per week...
Too bad everyone at Ubisoft is quitting. may have to revert back before the update. Does anyone know how to do this?
Hi,
I have purchased the Gold Edition of the game and I start it through Epic Games. While starting the game it automatically quits the launcher, opens the game, and all of the sudden game crashes on Ubisoft Anvil (Animus logo) or Ubisoft startup screen, or splash scree , and Ubisoft Connect tells me to send a crash report. I have tried to start the game through Ubisoft Connect but the problem persists. I kindly ask you to investigate this issue, cause I haven't received any news yet, despite the fact that this edition of the game costed me an adequate amount of money.
Thank you beforehand!
@ubistorm Hi, thank you for your answer. I export files but it's more than 10mo for msinfo, so i can't check if there is privates informations on it. ACV is the only game that crashes in years, so i don't want to take the risk.
I check errors files (.wer) and they are all like that :

The game freeze unstead of crashing with that dll fixe, but some area like many others players is freezing like crazy, more i am close to big cities more i froze. I am at 74% of the game (i had hundred of crash and freeze that's why it's so big ?) i play the DLC Siege of Paris, and inside Paris i got freeze in some areas 7sc every 3sc ..... it's a nightmare. I suppose freezing didn't create an error log.
> Thank for your tip, i dont have any nvlddmkm.sys error, i check.
V1.4.1.1 made the game a hell to play. There was constant crashes but it was over as soon as I finished the crossover arc and went back to England. But now, v1.4.1.2 is worse! It made me feel like I am playing the game with an office laptop! Video and audio not syncing, loading takes longer, every second the game freezes. Thank God I bought the Origins! At least I have something to play until you do something about this crap!
If you use AppCrashView, to view your crash logs, all your CTD are releated to D3DDRED2 ?

Well, for me the crashes went less frequently since I manually set vram to higher value, but still happen sometimes. As far as I noticed, crashes only happen in England, and the greatest probability of it happening is during first 30 minutes of game, if it's past that time, it won't crash anymore.
...unless you want to do a screenshot. In that case it crashes again.
Today I started a new AC Valhalla Game. I played 2 hours and it crashed to desktop 4 times. In the Win10 Event Viewer there is no entry.
This is why I'll likely play Mass Effect Legendary Edition (Game Pass PC) after I finish Tales of Arise sometime next week ..... After almost a year after release I finally got the game stable enough that it only crashed every 4 or 5 days maybe 15- 20 hours between crashes but after I bought the Season Pass back in November the game got broken again and every update since it seems to have only gotten worse just like December 2020- August 2021 ..... Luckily between the 43% discount and $10 credit I had at Greenman Gaming I'm only out 13 bucks and change for the Season Pass ..... The game I got for free when I bought a 3700X in July 2020
It's going to be a long time before Ubisoft earns back my trust and gets any more money out of me .....
@sabirobabaev Hey there, I'm sorry to hear your game keeps crashing! As a first step, could you have a look at our Basic PC Troubleshooting guide?
@satrincha Hi there, I understand and appreciate your concern about sharing files off of your computer.
MSINFOS do not directly contain personally identifiable information, and simply put, only display a view of your hardware, system components, and software.
Please rest assured that your information given to us privately is never shared, regardless.
Now as you all, I experienced CTD since I bought this game a month ago, multiple tickets, every possible suggestion but no result. So I left my game and decided to try one time per week and today after another ctd I tried something that for me worked, I have no idea if this is the solution or if it will work for someone else but better then nothing and worth a try. I simply canceled whatever was inside the "cache" folder and the "file_cache" folder. You can find them on "this PC" "documents" "ACValhalla". Then restarted the PC and now I have played for 4 consecutive hours, before I was experiencing crashes after 5 minutes.
