same issue
ive sent my dxdiag and msinfo nobody answered
@captainall Hi there! I'm extremely sorry about the delayed reply. I also apologize for any inconvenience or frustration that may have been caused by Assassin's Creed Valhalla failing to launch. If this issue is persisting at this time, have you tried completing all the steps in our technical troubleshooting guide? That guide contains some quick, simple steps that often help when a game will not launch or run as it normally should!
Just read this on PC Gamer, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla is Ubisoft's biggest PC game launch ever" it should read "Assassin's Creed Valhalla is Ubisoft's buggiest PC game launch ever"
And GameSpot said, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla Is Series' "Biggest Game Launch In History" it should read, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla Is Series' Biggest CRASHING Launch In History"
same issue here, and i have very similar specs (ryzen3600/5700xt). I was wondering if maybe this had to do with the AMD drivers or some of the features? Obviously the game at this point but in other threads where i read about these more random crashes that require task manager, i'm seeing a lot of 5700xt cards.
Another thing_ when i sometimes fast travel somewhere a drop rate of fps is enormous from 60 to 5 and after that game crashed too
@strigoi1958 I have crashed again, it seems it is not about the location, It happens when I am on my horse and aiming an arrow at a wolf while he attacks...
I play on PC. All my specs are almost good enough for max performance, or at least according to the specs guide. I've resorted to putting all setting and lowest quality and resolution. I've even tried overclocking my computers CPU. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've verified game files over a dozen times and it keeps saying all files are good. Nothing is working. I haven't even been able to play yet. The main menu runs with no problems. I try to start the game and it plays the intro video just fine, but at soon as the video is over my game freezes on a white screen. I continue to hear the sounds in the game with all the villagers talking and yelling about, but even if I try to move around I don't hear any change in sound direction and I don't hear any footsteps that would indicating my character moving. Every time this happens the only way to get out of the game is to force close it. I've tried going back in and loading my game at this point and it does load the loading screen that does have a character that I can move around with and it shows hints while loading the game, but as soon as it finishes loading, the screen freezes as a black screen this time and the villager noises still continue following all the same problems. I've bought the ultimate edition and already bought the maps before I even started the game, and then ran into this problem and discovered that I can't even play the game that I already almost spent $150 on. So I'm sure you can understand my frustration.
Hey there, thank you for getting in touch I'm sorry that the game is locking up on you. Please run through these steps to resolve. if the issue persists, please send us your system files via a PM or case, as I wouldn't want you posting that publicly!
@doguhanpala Type in event viewer in windows search and look in there for errors. You might be seeing one called kernal power. That is the cpu problem I had. Keep digging. I solved by putting my 6700k in the closet and building new PC. Also maybe try to use your computer without XMP overclock to memory. Will check back. There is also a third option: There is a windows setting in one of the advanced propertieds to block windows from restarting while there is an error.
I lowered the resolution to 1920 x 1080 - the constant crashing stopped but a RTX 2070\AMD 3900X should be fine at 2560 x 1440. This suggests that it's a video driver or game performance issue.
I've changed back to 2560 x 1440 but set the max frame rate to 60 so I'll see how this goes.
I don't think it's a hardware problem, at least it needs to be fixed. I have played many hours and only encountered once, my PC froze for seconds and rebooted. I'm using a 3700X and a 5700XT.
i7-7700K, GTX 1080 Ti and 32GB RAM. Same issue. Game often (but not always) crashes in menus. Skills menu, inventory, map. Happens I'd say 10% of the time.
I should add that I think it might only happen when I am using the predator bow and I am "zoomed in" on the wolf as it attacks my horse.
@commiczar Sorry to hear that you are experiencing crashes.
Did this get resolved?
I've uninstalled driver 457.30 (latest) and downgraded to driver 456.71 and gone are the issues I had with latest driver. No more mass stutter/lag and crashing, well I only had 1 crash on the latest driver but wasnt gonna bother finding out if I would get more.
I'm super frustrated right now. I installed the game today, already lowered my settings to Medium, verified the game files, checked my CPU drivers etc, but this game is utterly UNPLAYABLE. I experience terrible lagging to the point where I cant do anything and also cut scenes are impossible; the game just freezes! I literally cant even start playing this game, because of these issues. I played Odyssey on Ultra without any problems so you cant tell me this has to do with my pc. Never seen a game so broken, when will this be fixed and is there anything I can do ?
@etny2k
hello again, thank you so much for suggestions.
about the windows reboot setting. Aoutomatic reboot on errors were closed actually and it still happened(which is interesting)
All of the errors are kernal power, i think your assumption is right. I will try to use XMP overclock disabled also. Hope that solves.
I am using the processor more than 1 year. Recently bought a 3070 and errors started to occur in ac valhalla. Did not get much chance to try on other games. I am not sure it will never happen on other games, just it did not happen yet.
Hey there! I'm sorry that you are experiencing a lot of crashes. Please run through the steps outlined in this FAQ to resolve. If the issue persists, please let us know.
@mindlessset81 Sorry to hear that you have experienced crashing issues.
Are you still encountering these issues?
Hey there, I'm sorry the game has started crashing! It could be an issue with syncing your cloud saves in-game, which would be a connectivity issue. Please run through the steps in this guide to try to resolve.
