Ship songs missing

I do not get ship songs, I can switch to stories and it works, but when I tell them to sing, there is nothing. I do hear the general game music.
Also, acquired tattoos are not showing up in the store and so can't be applied. -

@needlenerd I'm having the same issue still. Did you do something in particular to make it work? I'd appreciate any tips or pointers.

update: same here it is working now, did nothing special... seams to be bound to a quest or something, just go ahead in the main story.
