I waited to play. My partner played ahead on beta and Early access. I simply choice to wait it out other then tweak settings.

    Performance:

I chose to play on the Intel I9, RTX 2080 Super, with hyper X memory and Nvmie 4.0 SSD. Latest drivers updated last night.

The default set to ultra 4k on launch. The benchmark benched at 84 fps.

When playing it held except I noticed it was borderless not full screen.

I then adjusted the scaling to 100 percent, it was on 50 or 60 percent. The frames then dropped to 46 to 56 fps on 4k ultra. (no benefit going over 100% scaling unless your res is over 4k - note on a 8k tv i saw no benefit, went back to the 4k)

Looks wonderful, more so on my Samsung 4k tv, but rather sit at monitor for now. HDR is on

    Story: Language and dialects

Ok so far. takes a little time to get used to combat mechanic

Some things I like. Some things I may be nit piking. Like their dialects. For that era, dialects would be different in old Norse. It's not bad, but some are actually more scot than old norse. Myself am a blend of Norse and Native American, and I enjoy languages and speak some modern Norwegian, old norse (from what we do know) and 2 native American languages (Tsalagi and Navajo- Dine) Don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable, but my brain picks thigns up and self nik piks and I hate that factor. I wish I could turn it off on my side lol.

I am enjoying the game. But in this era things were changing for Vikings. While Vikings did raid, and would seem to be these brutal careless savages, that is not the whole story and actual factor of them. I do like that the game shows that they were often hired to help. As well as they shifted focus to trade later, including with coastal island native Americans before the claimed discovery of the new world. Vikings suffered an early attack and they had to be brutal. Yet not always. Some clans however were twisted.

    Story get's a B

I will get my feedback mroe as I progress into tweaks and mechanics. Each person will feel different based on themselves. But I do enjoy the game, and am trying not to nit pik to few little things.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
