Locked Solved Fullscreen mode only gives blank screen

I want to play the game in fullscreen mode to enable g-sync, but the game only gives a blank black screen if I switch to fullscreen in the menu. Then reverts back to borderless, which disables g-sync. I know I can enable g-sync for windowed mode, but I Don'T want to as it interferes with a bunch of other applications I use, and manually switching it before and after each time I run the game is not a solution. -
