freeze and low framerate

When beginning the game the framerate drops to a max of 10 frames per second with some graphics not loading correctly resulting in black surfaces flashing all over the screen. as soon as I exit the first room into the party the game just totally freezes up and I have to ctrl+alt+del my way out of the game. I have already put vsync and anti aliasing on adaptive and the game on fullscreen my hardware should be more than enough to run it on the current settings. All my drivers are up to date.

I'm sorry that this is happening. If your rig is more than enough to handle the game, please verify your game files, perform a clean boot and ensure the game is installed on the same drive as your OS. Let us know if the issue persists after this! -
@ubi-spud Hi, thanks for replying.
So ive verified the files again and both the OS and the game are on my
drive I also tried the clean boot but it did not fix anything sadly. I also rechecked the required hardware and from what I can see I should have the hardware to play it because most of it it listed in the read me file as supported. The only part im not 100% sure with is the intel I7-10750H CPU but even when it turbos into 5GHz it doesnt solve the freeze.
Different things happen if I start a new game or if I load it. When I start a new game I get through the Ymir intro quite solidly with a minor fps drop in the beginning fx animation but the rest of the cutscene seems to flow at a good and static fps. when it goes trough the hole however it freezes on the white screen and only the party sounds play.
When I load a game it loads a bit then it gives me control of the character. The fps however is very very low and there are a lot of black glitchy looking surfaces and the game freezes quite quickly after that. -
@ubi-spud I did all that and it won't let me pass the opening narrative: it just freezes. A waste of a log of money and anticipation for a great game that doesn't work.

it seems to have fixed itself in one of the updates i think so if a mod reads this this thread can be closed
