@girlwood1 There won't be any achievements on PC.

What's going on here is posted on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/assassinscreed/comments/jt10tk/starting_with_valhalla_games_on_pc_will_no_longer/
Hey guys,
Apologies for some of the misinformation I provided earlier in the thread, this was due to a miscommunication.
Achievements are not not available for this title on PC, and this is an intended change.
Instead of Achievements for new games on Ubisoft Connect, instead we have expanded the Challenges, which provide XP and other rewards in Ubisoft Connect.
We know that this is a big change for a lot of you, and we appreciate your understanding in the matter
alright, thanks for the clarification, time to get playing now lol
Same here, the other platforms have the achievements page.
I will ask for a refund and wait until they fix this problem.
This is unacceptable. I noticed that the achievements tab was missing, but I always thought it was because the game just came out and it could take a few days.
How much time can you have played and still be eligible for a refund?
This should have been explained beforehand. It is not acceptable. And the fact that someone here from Ubisoft had to ask and clarify shows a lot.
guess I’m in the minority but I’ve been playing games for 40 years and never once bought or didn’t buy a game due to having achievements. I played every AC game and had a great time just playing, never even looking at achievements tab. Just always seemed like more checkbox type stuff to detract from playing.
Classic Ubisoft. They take our Steam and gave us crappy Epic game store. They take our achievements and gave us crappy challenges. They take single player games and make them more expensive while strapping micro-transactions on top of it. In a few years they will include dildos with every copy of their game because apparently we are not rammed in the [censored] enough.
Ok Ubisoft, If achievements are gone, then so am I. I cannot support a company who does this to their paying fans. I'm 37 years old and I've always been a long-time loyal Ubisoft customer for several generations. This feels so shady and what amounts to the ultimate betrayal.
@ubi-baron There is no understanding in this matter, sorry. Removing the achievements has got to be the stupidest decision Ubisoft has ever made, and for them to have the audacity to not tell us about the achievement removal before we bought the game? This is beyond infuriating. If they're not brought back, I will be doing everything in my power to boycott Ubisoft!
I am 7 hours in and finally discovering this. What are the refund requirements? This is crazy. I should not pay for a game with missing features compared to the console version. The fact that they didn't tell us before hand is very shady.
I will ask for a refund, that is a lack of respect for players.
What was ubi thinking about with this irrational decision?
That's so disappointing! I bought the game yesterday, not knowing that any other platform will have achievemnts but PC. Now I have it in it's version with reduced features and can't even refund it because I have played more than 2 hours before checking the forum. Becuse it's not the question you usually check the forum with. And the funniest thing! Playstation users and Xbox users are playing as usual. And only PC users somehow don't need the achievements system any more. Very funny.
What an odd decision. A game without achievements feel like you pirated the game. What is this even mean Ubisoft, get yourself together. Achievements are a crucial part of the game and accomplishment, there's no argue on that. Whoever in charge of this decision have no idea what will happen to their PC segment, what a lame.
They lost both Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Immortal Fenyx Rising sales with this decision, tell this to that genius analysts you have there.
@ubi-baron Wow thats pretty sleezy. Ubi has over the last few years been as greedy as Abstergo and treated its PC community like crap.
"Achievements are not not available for this title on PC, and this is an intended change."
But i'm not sure if this is true. Why?
Look at the Ubisoft Connect Page, scroll down to the "Access your Ubisoft Connect benefits anytime and anywhere" section. There is an Screenshot from Valhalla and if you open the picture and zoom in you can see that there are achievements.
Ok, maybe this is an mockup, but why using just this game with the achievement tab present if this is the first game WITHOUT achievements for this PR stuff???
@Ubi-Baron
AHAHAHA How STUPID. First you cowtow to someone accusing Ubisoft of being ableist in Assassin's Creed, and now you remove core functionality that has been part of gaming for over a century? Ubisoft is dead RIP. #boycottubisoft
@Ubi-Baron
Hey, this is totally inacceptable. Not only does it not make any sense, but how are we now supposed to collect Ubisoft-Coins to buy the items in the rewards-tab?
The Challenges you mentioned offer only XP for my account, not Ubisoft coins.
It wasn't communicated beforehand.
We are absolutely not happy with this, it's such a basic feature every game offer.
@ubi-baron I’m sorry but this is either false advertising or you are lying to customers by saying Ubisoft Connect has replaced Achievements with Challenges. On the landing page for Ubisoft connect, near the bottom, the page for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is clearly seen and the achievements tab is there. I should then be able to assume the real client would have there features but it does not. This is very disappointing coming from Ubisoft, but not surprising considering the company’s treatment towards PC gamers over the past few years. We have been disrespected and left with buggy ports while at the same time moving games from Steam to only the inferior, but acceptable, Uplay and now to Ubisoft Connect which is lacking basic features other platforms are provided. I will not be buying any more Ubisoft games on PC until the platform is respected.
The second to bottom blue line clearly states “Achievements” from https://ubisoftconnect.com/en-US/
@rhevarr to be fair, they also revamped the coin system. You can't earn them anymore with achievements and challenges, but only by gathering XP. Every level gets you 5 points, and every 5 levels gets you 10 points I think. Despite that, it still sucks that they got rid of the old system, and its achievements, which was much more fun and intuitive. I still don't get why they did this, but the person who was responsible for it, is completely out of touch with the audience and not good at his or her job.
