After I started the game loaded in the first area but its just a black screen. Can't interact with anything all I can hear is the party in the background. tried to reset my computer and re opened the game but the same bug accrued verifying the problem isn't the computer.

Another interesting thing i noticed is that i cant close the game through the menu.

Update I tried to add a screen shot of what I was seeing but the screen shot was to big. The only thing can think of is to uninstall and redownload the game.
Before I delete it I'm going to verify files and see if that does anything.

I can't even get into the game from launcher. I have tried to run as administrator, and uninstalled and reinstalled. And not a f*****g thing.

Let me know if that works. I have the same issue

I'm uncertain if that made a difference but at least all the game files are there so there is nothing missing.

Update I am trying to run the game one last time before I delete then reinstall it.

That seemed to do nothing

This is the problem I am having, game starts up fine but when i get to where I would be playing in the animus style loading screen where your character starts to run around the frames per second drop really low then i get stuck on a black screen, sometimes i get to see kid elvor for a second then it just freezes and i have to force quit the game. I tried re installing on my SSD and that didnt work for me. Let me know if you guys find any solutions to this problem

There are a few problems I have noticed the first of which before I load in to the starting zone it keeps switching between young and old Eivor. After a couple seconds of doing so it sticks with young Eivor. Secondly it seems like it is trying to shove all of the graphics into one room. When I load in it gas a seizer. It tries to show the sun in the room, the rainbow bridge from Asgard, All of the plants outside the building as well. Next the only sound I can hear is the chattering of the feast. More importantly when i first load in it immediately pauses the game as well with the graphics changing in the background. The esc menu options are also unresponsive the only way to close the game is CTRL, ALT, DELETE.

I would defiantly try that but i cant even get to the part where I get to chose my gender.

I have tried a couple things so far and have made a new game 3 times. It has not done anything to help.

Do you get a choice after you watch the cut scene? For me it just starts the game I didn't know you could chose before starting

I get 1 cutscene when I try to start a new game, just some old lady talking about Ymir the first giant blah blah, but thats it I dont get to choose anything. I just attempt to load in from there and get a black screen

Game keeps freezing as soon as I exit the first room. I've force-quit and restarted the game several times and even uninstalled and reinstalled trying to fix it.

Noticed a recurring problem it happened to me twice since starting the game
I've played for a few minutes then once I've moved the camera to walk in a certain direction and the game froze and didn't budge until I've closed it.

It seems like all pc players are having the same problem game doesn't load all you see is a black screen of death and everyone is having to force quite.

I tried what the article said but all i get is a white screen instead of a black one now.
