I'm experiencing a bug with smoke/fire in AC Valhalla. The candles and fires in the first area are flickering rapidly and creating large flashes of light across the screen. I have tried various changes to the graphics settings with none of them really help. Putting it on the lowest settings actually makes the problem worse. It's worse when moving and is also present in the benchmarking.

Hey I have a severe visual bug that seems to effect all particle effects. It makes even subtle effects like breath from each character and the smoke from candles look like bright, flickering green and red plumes of smoke. When adjusting volumetric clouds to its lowest setting the effect is somewhat reduced but it's still unplayable.

I'm playing on:
Windows 10 LTSB
Nvidia GTX 1060 - Driver version 456.38
Intel i5-7400

I've tried to update the drivers but I believe I already have the most up to date standard drivers. My PC won't install DCH type drivers. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm getting this strange graphic bug, mostly visible on smoke and dust. Anybody has similar problem? (Graphic driver is up to date)

Having the same problem myself, it's worse on lower graphic settings for me. My drivers are up to date too.

My game runs fine but the only problem I have are these weird smoke EFX and Im pretty sure it not supposed to look like that. How to fix this? it very annoying. I have the lasted driver installed

Win10 1070Ti lowest just crash like that.

I'm getting the same bug. I updated my NVIDIA graphics driver, tweaked the graphics settings in-game -- nothing. It's quite jarring and hard to ignore.

I'm sorry that you're seeing this anomaly. Please try verifying your game files, and performing a clean boot. Test the game after this, and if the issue persists could you please provide a video? I will then get this sent up to the developers.

GPU is nvidia GTX1060 6GB VRAM, driver version is 457.30
That's how it looks in the starting location for me

Having the same issue, i have a GTX 970 and the driver version is 457.30

After playing for a while with the bugged graphics, I've narrowed it down to being the cloud/dust/smoke particle effects. The fire effects are actually fine, but the smoke coming off of them, as well as snow kicked up by actors' feet, or clouds in the sky, or fog, etc. -- all are glitching out and displaying incorrectly.

Naturally, as these effects are in almost every single frame of the game, this is quite distracting and ruins any immersion. But hopefully this problem will be resolved soon with a patch.
