I feel the need to post this somewhere.
I am a 28 year old male living in Canada and this will be the first assassins' creed I have not pre-ordered ever. I own every single assassins' creed game (available) on every single platform from Xbox360, to PS3&PS4, to PC, even on switch. but I draw the line at the game not being available on steam.
13 separate major titles I pre ordered ultimate or collector additions of as well as owning each on minimum 3 separate platforms. Plus the 3 arguably terrible platformers. But I will be missing out on Valhalla because I cannot get it on my chosen retailer/platform. it just sucks and I am not saying I wont pick it up when it eventually comes to steam. also I will not lay all the blame on Ubisoft cuz steams business model is a lil excessive and outdated these days. but come on seriously couldn't work something out.... grumble grumble
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@m477h3w_pt Why not buy it through ubisoft connect? Given game works through that anyway. I'm not sure its ever coming to steam. Look at Division 2 still not there.
whether you but it on steam or not you still have to run it through uplay anyways
never understood this whole no steam no buy mentality, steam isn't the holy grail of game launchers so either suck it up and buy it on uplay or dont play it at all no one cares
Don't blame Ubisoft. Blame yourself. Seriously a store is a store..A launcher is a launcher. Regardless of where you buy a Ubisoft game. Uplay will run. You should know that if you own any Ubisoft games which now I doubt. SO wiith Steam you get 2 launchers running instead of 1.
I am not saying I wont pick it up when it eventually comes to steam.
You won't. Looks like Ubisoft is somehow mad at Valve and no Ubisoft game will come to Steam. Ever.
You can still choose between Ubisoft or Epic
@dbgager not really you would be surprised how many features epic launcher is missing for example no way to move game install to another drive on PC. So I go and move the game manually to different drive and go to install game Epic won't let it install because folder already exists. So only way is to completely redownload the game. While with steam they have the option to move game install and if I did it manually, then uninstalled, then installed in new location steam would discover game files.
So overall no a launcher is not a launcher.
