I have the same issue on PS4 I've tried resetting the game and still I can't select a gender and move forward.

I can't fathom how this could be an issue . . . am I a total moron? I can't select Eivor.

Im Mountain time and have preinstalled the game in Epic Games but it still says the game is unavailable

So everyone is having issues with epic games. This is absolutely dumb af.

В начале игры, невозможно выбрать пол персонажа. (клавиатура+мышь). Выбираю один из предлагаемых вариантов, а подтвердить выбор (левой кнопкой мышки) невозможно. Перепробовал так же все кнопки клавиатуры, перезапуск игры, а так же перезагрузку компьютера.

Also same. Can't select any of the options either holding A or clicking with the mouse. Uplay version.

according to another guy on here. It says it wont launch on Epic Games until 0800.

Same. Quit and reloaded and it happened again. Neither controller nor mouse work, this is the Uplay version.

This is unbelievable. I only have a limited amount of time to play, and I can’t even play the first 5 minutes without it breaking. Classic Ubisoft ruining my day

On PC. Watched the AMAZING intro cutscene and was ready to start my journey and like a running into a brick WALL I am stuck on the gender selection screen. It absolutely will not respond to me holding down the button with the controller nor will it respond to me holding down the mouse pointer. Man, how frustrating!

Can't pick my character so I guess I waited months for nothing

Uplay for me, too.

I've tried it a couple of times. I'm trying driver updates now.

The upside to this is that I didn't get hours into the game before being able to progress. That's an upside, right???

Have exactly the same issue on PC
Even tried a xbox controller same problem will not accept any input, have to use alt del to reset PC.
