Same problem with seer's solace. Shame on You Ubisoft!! You should write something about fixing and say when will be the patch

I ran into this this morning. I couldn't even find Valka's hut on the Map until in frustration I Googled to see what I was doing wrong. In doing that, I discovered the bug.

I followed the advice to delete and reinstall the game and then start again not stopping for any raiding or mysteries or wealth. It worked for me then. I didn't disconnect from the internet, but, it seems that once you finish the quest the update shouldn't matter. I'm hoping this is true. If I have to start again, I'm likely going to give up until they find a patch.

I'm generally a very loyal fan of Ubisoft and am pretty easy going in regards to simple bugs within the first week or two of releases because you can't expect perfection, and I only had an hour or so invested so I didn't lose much, but for others who had loads of time invested, starting over sucks.

I'm hoping they find a work around quickly....

I just quit to home screen and started a new game and went straight to the quest and it worked, no uninstall/reinstall or disconnecting internet. Only lost about two hours but it worked.

Sooo.. when do we get a response? Or an update? Or an ETA for patch? Or a fix? @ubisoft u dont even mention this on your social media accounts, like it doesn't exist. You ignore your customers (thousands of them), who spent good money on a broken product. The least you can do is acknowledge these issues, instead of remaining totaly silent. Your approach and attitude are emberrasing, greedy and quite frankly very disrespectfull towards your customerbase. If we don't get a response within 24 hours i'm returning the game. Godspeed.

I have the same issue. Such a significant bug on the main story on the day of release is plainly unacceptable. Happy to return the game and get a refund.

Seems the culprit in this problem are - not going straight to main quest. As u start doing side quests or explore, quest glitces. I spend like 6 hours exploring, getting resources, opening sync, while same time husband go straight forward main quest line and all worked perfectly.

wasnt there a function to reset quests in past assassins creed titles ? that would really come in handy right now. if the starter area has such gamebreaking bugs who knows what we will encounter during the course of the game. this is not a good start at all

you don’t need to uninstall the game.

start a new game, and once you get to the long boat go straight to the destination (I used the boat AI steering) without any exploration or other activities. Speak to Randvi immediately and you should get the quest and it will be marked on the map. From there you can go about the game as normal.

I did this with the Way of the Berserker code entered prior to me getting the bug originally and the bonus content carried over to my new game. The notification that it’s available came up in my new game

Also having this issue (PS4). Finally found Valkas, can't interact with her. Completed all the talking to the townspeople tasks and a heap of side quests and exploration, so really don't want to start again!
Reinstalled it to Version 1.0.0, but then I couldn't run any of my save files as they were in V1.0.2 format.
Ubisoft, is there any chance of a fix anytime soon, do I just keep side questing until this is fixed with a patch, or do I bite the bullet and start again while I'm somewhat new (5 hours in)

@kristi_00 Yeah this seems to be the common thread between all our issues... It's a shame when the game has a gorgeous open map, it's the first game in a while where I've actually wanted to explore and side quest... Like, come on, Ubisoft?? Really?? This shoud be an urgent case/fix... But it's been 5 days and nothing -_-

@sekoudollar They've addressed it in their "Known Issues" thread... But all they say is too start the game all over again in the meantime until they find a fix... No other response... No ETA... No urgency it seems... Like this is the main storyline, I would get the lack of response/fix if it was some side quest... But come on?...

i have an original save file that cant proceed with the seer quest


so i started another save file and the seer quest is no longer bugged.

However, there are no pre order bonuses on this NEW play file.

Should i delete both save file and try again? What sshould i do

If you don’t fix this ASAP I will be reporting this and also demanding my money back. A game stopping bug like this is unacceptable.

Can some one confirm as I'm confused about preorder content and how it applies to your game. I loaded my bugged PS4 save into ps5 first and saw some axe appear in my inventory. If I want my pre-order stuff to appear outside of my bugged save, I have to completely delete all previous saves, uninstall and reinstall the game and start fresh?

Same bug here, any help maybe Ubisoft? Everyone makes mistakes, but then don't charge the whole amount if you really want to make a bugfest of a game, really gutted over here

I am in the same boat, cannot initiate A Seer's Solace and after spending hours exploring Norway I'm not prepared to restart. Will wait for a patch, play some spiderman in the meantime. It is saddening to read about this and other game breaking bugs.

@funbagsofsatan turns out I got this moonlight axe but never attended an ubi event. What is going on? I have this kick [censored] axe on my broken save game
