Hello! I'm posting here to ask for advice regarding AC revelations on ps3.

So a few days ago, I decided to come back and replay this game, as I enjoyed it very much a few years ago.

However, the game is literally unplayable. I haven't played on my ps3 for long, and I know that my system is old, but other games are running just fine.

I'm coming from pc and I know that console performance is significantly worse, especially on older hardware, but I remember having a smooth gameplay in the past, around 3 years ago, compared to my 10-20 fps experience that I have right now.

My ps3 doesn't get too hot and I also remember cleaning it, so I doubt this is a problem. I understand that those consoles are getting older and slower over time, but 3 years is kind of a short interval for a game to become unplayable... Is it because of an ubisoft update that slowed it down, or am I missing something?

My display hasn't changed, and I already reset the ps3 database, trying to solve the problem, but no results unfortunately. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! Also, ac brotherhood is lagging too, but not as much as revelations...

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hey @vader23457

Thanks for reaching out to us with this.

Given the legacy status of these titles, no recent updates or patches have been released for them on PS3.

Are you using digital or physical copies of these games?

@Ubi-TheBerry hello! Thank you for responding! I use the disk version of the game, but I doubt it is scratched or anything... I had another copy of the game I accidentally purchased some time ago, and it runs almost the same, a bit better. However, that disk's game version is 1.03, while this one's is 1.04. Other games run fine, so I dont really know... I remember the game running smoothly before.

    Hey @vader23457,

    Thanks for confirming!

I don't suppose you're able to test in another console at all?

    Otherwise, may we please also know if you've tried;

    • Reinstalling the game(s)
    • Disconnecting your console from the internet
    • Power cycling the console

    Thank you!

@Ubi-TheBerry hello! Unfortunately, I can't test the performance on another console. Also, I remember having this problem for 1 year, and a few months ago I did a full wipe, but no results however. Thank you for your time, but I have to assume this is a software issue with the game rather than the console's fault. I appreciate your help!
