I apologize in advance, even my Mom has told me that I tend to give too much information that is not required but that she still loves me even if I keep doing that so you see, I totally blame her.
Ok so it all started a few months back trying to help people in the forum having issues with the game not starting, issues with the servers, etc, etc, that I decided to test all of these things to see if I could lend a hand, I am nothing if not helpful, then a friend talked me into playing some missions with him in Co-Op so ok why not, something happened, we stopped playing or the worlds we were in were different so I decided to reset the whole 3rd slot and start fresh again but this time I was going to free roam only.
It got boring quickly because the guys patrolling the wilderness, let's face it, are not all there and the killings become more of a chore. OK so then I decided to start the challenges of each class while I free roam and that as well got boring so, finally, I thought, ok why don't I start the whole game but this time I do challenges plus whatever mission, side mission or faction mission comes closer to where I am.
Now, the main reason for this post is:
Every time I am doing a mission I hear explosions nearby but there is nobody or nothing there, the enemy goes into yellow but soon goes back to normal, it wasn't like when two assets would collide and the whole base or camp got alerted and there goes your mission, that was in the past but I do believe it got corrected, right? I don't really know what this is and well, I know there will be no support for this bug or glitch, my concern is more of, am I going crazy or are you guys playing the campaign in the 3rd slot also having this issue?
I am trying to make a conscious reminder to pop my drone when the explosion happens to see if I can see anything that would make sense but the reason why I haven't done it, and now that I think of it what I fool I have been knowing that the sound of things in this game do not work correctly. I have been hearing the explosions near me but it could very well be on the other side of the camp, base, or residences.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Generally speaking, explosions heard appear to be the audio clue that an asset/item has been placed in the game-world. Especially if you happen to be located in a region that has daily faction missions.
OTOH, if the Resistance mode has been activated, well those explosions as expected are just the result of NPCs engaging each other as they spawn.
In addition if NPC vehicles can't get past each other, then as they continue to collide, they will eventually. explode.
The slot number has no bearing.
Today I did see two of their vehicle colleding and finally exploding but that did not happen the previous times, even after I did a 360, again, not popping my drone right away didn't help.
MIke, if I don't have any faction mission PINNED, can this effect still take place you think? Hell, I don't even know where to start a daily faction mission to be honest but what I do know is that I select ONLY 1 mission (Orange, Green, Yellow) at a time so I don't get confused moving through the Provinces for the wrong mission. I know they are colored but I do confused them.
Another thing I don't remember if they ever fixed or not is this:
You approach a camp, base or residence, etc, etc and there is a flying drone hovering around the are, you take it down and by God if that thing does not make a bigger sound than a nuclear bomb.
Why????
Another thing that JUST happened, along with the above, and it is one of my biggest pet peeves:
I get on the roof of a building and a sniper sees me, by the time I turn around to get on a flimsy cover he takes a shot, misses me and I immediately use this moment to suppress him while I walk to a much better cover so I start bursting shots to his position (using the M4A1 with the 100-round magazine), this never fails, just about when I have gotten to cover a shot manages to put me on my butt. I gotta be honest, this irritates me beyond belief, this is why I hate the Studio because this is not balancing the game, this is simply cheating and NO, I don't want nor need an explanation as to why this happens or may happen, I don't care, this shouldn't happen, period.
Also NO, nobody else shots me because he was the only sniper left I was actually going to go up to finish him off myself. I would have heard if the shot came from somebody close to me, this shot came from him, miraculously while he was taking cover from being suppressed. That or he plainly didn't care that he was being shot, like the many a times that also happens in this game.
Again Ubi, Why????
It makes no difference whether any of the various non-campaign story missions are penned or not; assets/items will be placed in the world when you reach within a given distance of where the mission will take place.
OK, now I know more than yesterday. Thanks Mike.
I guess this is another thing we would like fixed for the next game. If there will be another game before the Zombie apocalypse. LOL
