We have recently updated The Settlers: New Allies with a myriad of bug fixes and balance changes and wanted to offer some more context around the patch.

@editorial Not loving the decrease in plank output. The early game slows to crawl now. It was fine before why was it changed? Change it back.

@Asmordeus85 I agree. I think it could also be solved by making woodcutters faster, because it is very hard to constantly provide enough logs for two sawmills in the early game.
Additionally the fake-forester is absolutely over-expensive now as it requires 10 logs (which are rare always) plus tools. It feels so wrong to have a forester so expensive.

I'm reporting you to the ICC, this game should be classed as a war crime. Or crime against humanity. Utter crap.

@oddy2023 the graphics are nice, but the game lacks so many basic features. You can't even choose which map you want to play on, other then turning off maps in the settings. How about playing a 1v2? nope. how about choosing which races you go up against? nope. And you had better hope to get to a stone resources before your quarry runs out or you have no chance of surviving. but don't worry you can always use a market to trade...nope. so many other things are just lacking.

@p-mackenzie The game was made for new players and to be playable on consoles. That's why there are so many simplifications. There was also an emphasis on multiplayer - almost forgetting what The Settlers meant to fans.

I fell for advertising slogans (that it will be a return to the roots)... I'm ashamed that I fell for it.

Despite the delayed release, this game was released without thorough beta testing in the hope that there would be no bugs. But it is enough to read this forum (as well as forums of other Ubisoft games) to gain a slightly broader perspective and understand that the problem affects almost every game that Ubisoft has released in recent years.

Games are no longer made with passion... just for money.

Why is there no chat feature in this game? It lacks the Settler community without having a lobby to prepare a game with your fellow Settler friends. It would be great to see this back in this great game. Another point to make when playing multiplayer if you lose connection or the other player rag quits; it might be good for the game to continue as an AI player. Nothing is worse after playing 2 hours, and the game ends as you are almost at the end with your entire army in for the great battle.
